I've made a nice TOP 10 on many subjects. But the worst top 10 is mostly sports games.
The only ones not nor stating the obvious Aidyn, would be Iggy's Wrecking Balls. Though some would enjoy the game, but it is by far the cleanest games. Unfair items making it a roller coaster tycoon with halve the track deleted, crap graphics, lags like shit constantly. Maybe fun to play if you know all the ins/outs, but playing the game for the first time... prepare to RAGE!

Honorable mentioned : Earth Worm Jim
Simply a bad game. It's... just... not it on most game elements. Idea is fun though but the rest is butthole galore

If racing games are included in your question : S.C.A.R.S. and Cruis 'N Exotica are scaling the top of deskpounding, controller throwing (or biting if you are the hungry type)

But if I would be making a mountain of worst games, the top would be Aydin followed by a valley as deep as the deepest Trench for 2nd worst ;-)

ECW Hardcore is pretty terrible with all the tag team gauntlents, and 3 on 1 matches they subject you to.
Or you consider this a sports title, I think it is closer to a fighter. You have to imput button combos to preform moves.

Personally, I hate all the crappy fighting games. I've tried to beat Mace: The Dark Age and Deadly Arts in years past, and the controls are just so bad that I've never been able to get through them. Then to top it off, you usually have to beat them on harder difficulties. I'm not amazing at fighters, but I'm certainly no slouch. Play control is the most important part of a fighting game, and there are so many on the N64 that just suck in that department. I'm really glad some people can get around it, but for me, it just makes it terrible and painful.

Thanks for writing. I apologize for the delay in responding to your email during this busy time of year.
In regard to your email, it is great to hear that you have found a copy of Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64. Perfect dark was a first person shooter game that was released in May of 2000. I personally enjoyed this game a lot during my mid-teen years since it allows for up to four players to play at one time. All the Perfect Dark cartridges were black.

I hope this information is what you are looking for.

Response I received from Nintendo customer support when I asked if they knew any thing about a black Perfect Dark cart.

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero is rage inducing. Everything about that game is bad.

Hexen update, boy oh boy is this a huge game! I have not been slacking on this one, I swear!

I've been playing as much as I can, usually several hours at a time when I do get the change to play. And, on the whole, I have been making steady progress, haven't really got stuck much either. It's just the game is bloody massive! I've gotten into what I believe MUST be the final area of the game, Necropolis, which is the 5th "World" so to speak. I am mightily impressed by the length and breadth of this game, probably stemming from its PC origins.

Who knows when I'll have it finished, but it CAN'T be much longer now! This certainly feels like one of the longest N64 games I've ever played, but that's certainly not a bad thing, as I am still really enjoying it!

Hexen is finally done guys! Sorry I had to keep you waiting so long, lol!

Man, this is absolutely the biggest surprise I've had playing any N64 game, based on expectations going in! Incredibly solid game, big game with loads to do, plenty to explore, lots of intrigue and good action. I'd say it falls a little short of true greatness, as it is kinda repetitive, and the combat is pretty basic. But other than that, I would totally stand up for this game and recommend it to anyone looking for a chunky adventure game on the system!

Good job on Hexen! As you say, it's a bit of a diamond in the rough - definitely not what you'd expect going in, and totally worth the time to play through it!

It typically takes me around 7-8 hours. If you want a general idea on any game I suggest checking out howlongtobeat.com.

I have been playing long games and need a bit of a breather. Aidyn really burnt me out. I don’t want another 60 hours of boredom right away.

The in-game timer said just over ten hours or so, but I'm not sure exactly how accurate that is. It felt like WAY longer playing, because it doesn't count deaths and reloads, as far as the counter is concerned. I'd say I probably spent at least 20 hours in total, including a save wipe early on. It felt like A LOT longer than 10 in any case!

Ok, so not exactly Aidyn Chronicles here, lol! But for a guy with 2 jobs, 2 kids and a demanding wife, certainly long-ass game to me!

I beat Tonic Trouble. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Other then some annoying camera angles the game wasnt half bad. It felt like a slightly worse rayman

I know I complained about the Mario Party games a lot last year, but I still played through Mario Party 1. Took forever. The title screen changes based on which character beat the last game played, and after you finish Eternal Star, you get this Toad-centric one.

Ok, on to a "2000" game.

Progress report on Quake! Made it to level 17, never really played this far into the game before. Having a GREAT time with it!

At first, I figured Quake was a little dull, as it looks really, well ugly, to be frank. And the levels are sparse and angular, and pretty abstract, leaving you with a kind of unsettling, other worldly feeling.

However, the game absolutely excels in movement, weaponry and combat. This is a pared down, fluid fast paced and aggressive game. The Spartan environments, which at first leave you a little underwhelmed, are perfectly designed to minimise interruption to the flow of combat, and guide you into direct, aggressive conflict with enemies. The weapons are all simple and look pretty unassuming, but they are responsive, satisfying and effective, each offering tactical advantages depending on the situation and types of enemy faced.

I would say this may well top Doom 64 in terms of run-and-gun FPS games on the N64. I still prefer Duke Nukem 64, but that is less to do with the gunplay, and more to do with the overall style, detail and complex level design of the latter. In any case I believe it is certainly superior to the, admittedly much better looking, Quake 2 in terms of both fun and sheer balls to the wall combat and game design.

Better keep going then!

I played a lot of Quake on Saturn. I could never figure out how to beat the final boss. The large jello blob with horns in that multi leveled room. There were switches to electrocute the blob, but I could never do any damage to it.

I saw a video of how to do it, if you'd like to know... Spoiler below:

In the boss room there's this strange thing flying around that you can't damage, and sometimes it flies inside the final boss. That flying thing is actually a teleporter, so if you enter the other teleport when it flies inside the boss you will be inside it and you can kill it. But of a strange way to end a game, I guess, but a lot of these older games are quite cryptic!

Wow, that is not what I expected. I figured there was some sort of weekness. Weird way to end a game.
