I felt like I had a good shot, earlier in the week, until the 200k popped up.  (since I was scoring in the low 100's by level 6/7 all week)

That score is absolutely insane, since the scoring really planes off and it becomes about survival.

I think it would take a lot of luck for me to get some big combos at the right times to put up that kind of score.

The speed mechanism in this game is a HUGE built-in handicapping system that I have mixed feelings about.
On the one hand, I do wish the game would run at the selected speed so it would be possible to take the time to cook up all kinds of interesting combos.
On the other hand, some of us would eventually max the score on 1-1 if it didn't force you to move on by making the speed unmanageable...

Plus, this game takes FOREVER... it is like marathoning Tengen Tetris.  Time-wise, it is just brutal

I don't mind it speeding up after you've been dawdling in a stage for a while, but what I really do not like is that it has a carry over effect, making the game basically uncompletable if you milk too much early on....which I find beyond stupid.

It's still "completable" no matter how hard you milk the early stages.

You just don't have the luxury of structuring combos. (i.e. you need to clear the board before the first incoming set of cookies hits or you've lost it)

Where you get screwed is when you are mid-stage and building up combos when the speed jumps up considerably before you have the notion to burn it down.  If you KNOW it's going to be fast, you just clean it up quickly and you'll be OK.

It isn't completable for me at least. I still stand by my statements. Towards the end on my best runs I was just knocking down the starting stack as much as possible as soon as possible which I found rather boring since I would get it down to two cookies and then would just wait for hopefully the matching cookies to clear. And when the game gets really fast you need those cookies fairly soon or you are pretty much toast. That to me isn't fun at all. Setting up and excuting the combos is what makes it enjoyable to me. Sppeding things up so much as to prevent you from doing anything but speed clearing sucks all the fun right out of it. It's called low speed, not low speed until you get so far and/or point spam so much then we crank it to high. On well....on to Paperboy.

Nice score Nathan.

Updated my score... might try to give it one more run tonight to break a hundred but its looking doubtful at the moment. I really like this game alot but it's definitely taking up a shit ton of time for me anyway. I think my last run was like 1 1/2 hrs just about.

Well I actually managed to find a copy of this out and about today. While I don't get any time with it, I will say that it is better than Yoshi That said, I don't really care for puzzle games.

I only got a few games in this week, but it's a fun puzzle game.
