Does anyone have a method for getting past the moving blocks at the beginning of mission 4 of double dragon? I'm on the verge of beating this game but I keep getting murdered by these stupid blocks.

You could at least state the console or if it's the arcade game. If it were the arcade game I'd say insert more coins.

Try walking past the first block and then quickly jumping twice in a row to get past them. I'm pretty sure the pattern of the blocks is random, but that method has worked for me more often than not.

Those blocks are a pain in the ass. I normally just speed past them and hope for the best. I normally lose one life, but I'm pretty good at not dying in the first three missions. I try then to reach the final bosses on my next life, and then I have a life left to throw down with the final gauntlet of baddies. It's not usually enough, as I've only beaten the game once or twice, but it does give me a fighting chance.

Okay I THINK I have figured out a method that works most of the time. The blocks come out at a certain speed but if you watch carefully there will be a slight pause eventually. The key is to wait for that pause and then haul ass, just walk past the whole wall. Then wait for the pause at the second wall and do the same thing. Most of the time if I get hit it's only once.

This works best for me too, and I've played a lot of this game.  Sometimes you end up dying once or twice, but this is the only place in the game that is really dangerous.  As long as you get past the blocks with 1 extra life left, or full health, you can get through the rest of the game.

I am convinced there is no pattern. You just have to choose a "pattern" and make a run for it, either jumping or not.

This damn game. I can do everything else in the game flawlessly. Damn blocks.

Here is my topic from two years ago basically asking the same thing as the OP here.
