Aaaand Megacatstudios carts are confirmed fixed with the 1.3b6 firmware!

Awesome.

Don’t know, my launch AVS is currently getting its mini USB braced. They might have a new one out by the time I get it back.

Do you mind if I ask what that fix runs in terms of cost?

As far as I know I only have to pay return shipping. Figured I could either deal with it now or deal with it when I accidentally move it too much and snap it.

Please add either Wavebeam or FBX's Smooth Palette for next firmware update. Both would be even better. Thank You.

It's not your system. Roll back to 1.30b5 to get rid of it. RetroUSB is aware of the issue (though if you want, email their support to add your voice.)

Yep, 1.3b5 is stable.... almost worth thinking of b6 as 1.40b1. Unfortunately bunnyboy is prepping for knee surgery, so he has more important things to do than bugfix at the moment. If you're reading this, best of luck and hope your recovery is swift!

On the AVS site they give 1.30b5 as the current.

Yeah, I was thrown off at first because 1.30b6 was listed as the current and then I almost thought my browser was showing an old version of the page when it switched to 1.30b5 again. I went with 1.30b5 despite the artifacts on Everdrive N8 FC because the older firmware still has artifacts on FDS, and doesn't have many of the neat features of the newer firmware.

Been so busy playing Super NT that I finally got around to booting my AVS today to play Spook-O-Tron. There is definitely crackling present despite the firmware update log on RetroUSB says it's been fixed. I cranked up my stereo system and made a video of it.

In the video, I mentioned that I'm using 1.2 beta 6. It's actually 1.3 beta 6 installed. Looks like I'll be downgrading to 1.3b5...

Have you emailed support last month? I know Bunnyboy went through knee surgery recently and probably hasn't had time to crack into a fix.

Looks like you ninja-quoted me in the above post. And I haven't contacted support as he seems to be aware of it already based on the firmware release notes. I have a video uploading (8 minutes left)...

Today actually when I booted Spook-O-Tron for the first time. Been busy with work so I only really get to game on weekends. I had been playing tons of SUper NT since Analogue release it, while my AVS was feeling neglected...

Video is live guys. Do bear in mind I've got the volume on the amp cranked about 20 decibels higher than our normal listening level. The silence in Tengen Tetris attract mode was perfect to demonstrate it.

Okay, just tested it out. No audio popping, and all the other fixes seem to be there.

Great work on the continued support of this excellent product.

I'd previously had a problem with PAL Battletoads where the top of the screen was being chopped off. I recently purchased a PAL version of Battletoads Double Dragon and found this exhibited the same issue. I had previously emailed support about it so I updated to 1.3 Final to see if the issue had been resolved but unfortunately the top of the screen being chopped off persists and also Battletoads Double Dragon now seems to crash before getting to the character select screen.

If anyone has PAL versions of these games or could test them with a flash-cart it would be good to know if these problems can be replicated.

Is this called 1.30 Final because it is the final 1.30 firmware or the final firmware overall?
