Iv got one and the most iv been offered is 700 so I dont think 1000 is accurate. Probably would sell for a little bit lower or maybe higher depending on condition.

The prototype was a one of a kind, those test carts are the same as the regular zelda game but with a yellow shell...i think.

One of a kind, started the Zelda franchise as we know it, once owned by Howard Phillips (although that was unknown at the time of the sale), all of the above

Test cart is not worth 1K I'd say $800-$900 in Nr Mint condition...

Well that's what I've heard people say, but there is no actual record of that sale so the price my or may not be truthful.

Minus I believe you, I just remember there being some controversy over the item being paid for and if the final price was accurate.  Maybe people were joking I have no idea.

For those of you saying the shipping is too high, he said that it's highest quality tracking with signature and he'll refund what's not used for shipping

^ It's funny how that works. Even funnier when they're a random Jane or John doe that knows nothing about games or their values, but somehow know what to charge for extremely rare games/variants like this one.

I do know that sometimes people tend to not use their primary account when selling rare things like this though. I never did understand that frame of thought.

Guy ended it to sell for $950, even tho he had bids on the auction and it would have sold for more

Agreed. Shipping is getting out of hand. I just shipped something to Canada, and it was over $43 for a generic box of games, not even that large/heavy. With insurance, delivery confirmation / tracking, signature on receipt, etc, it can get insane in a hurry. And with something like that, you want good protection for both buyer and seller.

That's something I *HATE* about Ebay : The shipping charges rating system. I typically charge like $3.99 for shipping on a game, and it's priority mail small flatrate, so I lose money on the shipping, yet I get downranked on the shipping charges.

Yes, 1990 NWC in case you're curious :) A long long time ago, in a video game competition far far away.

Ebay is trying to push their new "Ship Internatinal" feature, they copying amazon where you ship to their corporate and they "take care" of the rest
