Oh boy, and here I didn't think I could do much better. Take that Marble Madness! Back in number 2 spot. Now, if only I hadn't died that 1 time I could've actually probably hit 179k...so close. And if only I'd been given another wand, would've blasted past 180k, I'm sure of it. But seeing as how I was able to improve so much more, I have hope that I can get back on top.

Marble Madness
08/30/09
164th game: beat it with 4 deaths, Score 172.720
165th game: beat it with 2 deaths, Score 173.760
166th game: beat it with 3 deaths, Score 172.680
168th game: beat it with 1 death, Score 169.510
169th game: beat it with 1 death, Score 177.560

Damn, just 10 points behind Scott Kessler's score on Twin Galaxies. Well, now, I'll have to change that won't I. Hehe

For a Twin Galaxies submission video, you have to introduce yourself, tell the date and location, show the TV with snow on, show yourself turning on the game, play the game, and then after the game zoom in on the score, introduce yourself and the date and location again, and then turn it off.

You have to do this every run. That's why it's tedious filming yourself for Twin Galaxies. Her recordings that she puts on Youtube won't count.

edit: Just realized I forgot to congratulate Megan on her run.  Congrats!!  Keep at it and beat that world record!  I'm rooting for you and Randy.

I was questioning myself on how you have to be filmed for a Twin galaxies submission, and I went ahead to gather information on their site. That's sounds like a really stiff method, but they surely got good reasons to ask all this.

Megan, you better read through this if you intend to submit your video to Twin Galaxies:

I already read Twin Galaxies faqs, and will not be submitting anything to them, I ain't got time for all that unnecessary shit, as is I'm doing a ton of resetting and certainly don't want to go through all they want me to just to submit it to them, I don't think so. Nope, doing this for me. Crap, I only got about 4 more hours at most to try to beat your score quillavoie, haven't been doing too good this afternoon.

I played this game for 5 hours last night (and as a result have been a real jerk to be around all day, according to my girlfriend)...

Oh well... I knew that second I missed in the ultimate race would be the problem with my score.

Congrats on the score Randy. Let me guess:
You had a wand in course 2 and made an approx perfect run, finished with 78 seconds in the ultimate race with no death.

Son of a bitch. Back down to third. Well, anyway, all over for me, won't be able to play anymore before the contest ends, too late, my mom'll be home from work soon, I gotta make dinner, plus I'm just downright tired, and I was hungry, so figured may as well stop now though I still have at least two hours left to be able to play, I left my mark, had a lot of fun too, so time to finally rest. Absolutely loved this contest, I don't think I ever pushed myself as much as I have with this game, but I'm also glad that it'll be done soon, for the same reason, been pushing myself ragged. Its been fun, you guys, Kevin, Randy, guillavoie, been a pleasure going against such formidable opponents.

I got a few more score to post, but nothing higher than my top score.

Marble Madness
08/30/09
170th game: beat it with 3 deaths, Score 172.780
171st game: beat it with 4 deaths, Score 162.910
172nd game: beat it with 3 deaths, Score 173.060
173rd game: beat it with ? deaths, Score 176.190
174th game: beat it with 1 death, Score 166.080
175th game: beat it with 1 death, Score 177.060
176th game: beat it with 2 deaths, Score 171.740
177th game: beat it with 3 deaths, Score 172.620

And that'd be it. Beat Marble Madness a total of 177 times, and 169 of those were just from this week, whew that's a lot of games. Was aiming for 200, but kind of difficult with my expectations being much higher now, ever since I started hitting 170k more often, most games I just end up pressing reset because I knew the score wouldn't be worthy enough, but I'll save the rest for another time.

Yeah, this contest was ridiculous. Almost all of us (minus me) beat the world record.

Most of you are getting 170,000+ every time you play, it may not be the world record but if you did go through the hassle of recording even that score you would finish in the top 3. its still worth while to do a video for TG. IMO

Megan; doing the math from what you recorded with the 169 games you played this week, with an average of 5 minutes per game. (not including the resets or anything else) that works out to be about 14 hours of Marble Madness. Wow, very impressive.

2 of the four to be exact, but Megan was only 10 points behind Scott Kessler's record of 177 570. I can't believe it took more than 1000 over the world record to win that contest, and none less than 10 behind it to get the 3rd position. We're in the big league I guess.

Congrats to Randy, I know it must have a been a pain to  actually rebeat the world record in less than 24 hours. I was shocked when I saw your post man,  you deserve the first place!

Now I'll try to see if I'm any good at Snake Rattle and Roll.

Congratulations Randy, you are one awesome gamer. And you as well guillavoie. And I'm sure given you had more time Kevin, you probably would've been the one to put me back down to 4th place.

Ouch, my thumb hurts so bad from playing so much of this game, because of having to get that marble to move on those diagonal angles so much, my left hand thumb is actually all red and swollen, just pressing on something even lightly hurts, also have a blister on my ring finger on my left hand too from being up against the edge of the controller constantly. Its been many years since I put this much abuse on my hands just playing a videogame. Guess I won't be playing anything for a few days til my fingers heal up.
