I've been curious about this as well after picking up Mega Man II at a local game shop. I was never able to find anything detailed about their history aside from the article you linked. Hopefully someone here will have more knowledge on the subject.

There's a CHN Bomber Boy in a local thrift store.
I'm going to pick it up tomorrow and post some pics

There are a lot of these. I used to collect them, but then realized that it would be like collecting a gb game set, there were so many release. Somewhere I had made a list of what I knew to exist (tho now I know of dome others. ) but there are a good many of these out there

I have the Ninja Spirits CHN release one if anyone wants pictures / info on it

I have the Mega Man II, but it's cart only - I had never seen the packaging before (didn't know it was unique as well). Damn, now I want it CIB

I have Kirby's Dream Land CHN. Pretty sure it's a real version and not a pirate. If it is it's a good quality pirate. I only have the game it's self, had it since I was a kid and got it back when Gamestop still sold Gameboy stuff.

There is also a official chinese version Daiku no Gen-San: Robot Teikoku no Yabou... Its called Carpenter Gensan - Robot Empire. Somebody at gameboyland.de posted it as a ebay pickup some time ago.

I'm collecting them and many games of the gameboy set exist in CHN version.
They are hard to get (especially CIB). If you're looking for carts only then it should be okay but generally they are overwhelmed by the huge amount of gameboy sells on ebay, and very few sellers list them as CHN.

So good luck with that, personally it's been 3 years I'm seriously collecting them and I only have around 15 of them CIB.

But I´m most intrested in the kind of games which were "exclusive" to China - so sure also were released in Japan,
but nowhere else in the western world. Do you got some loose carts you wonna trade (I´m more the cart only collector - cause as you said it´s worlds inbetween collecting CiB or loose - especially these releases.

Well most of the time I get them by contacts I've made in the collector's world that know I'm looking for them, or in internationnal forum like nintendoage.
For exemple Tracker who answered in this topic sold me 4 CIB CHN GB games last year if I remember well (thank you again !).

And sorry but I don't have any loose cart, I'm only collecting CIB and I have no extra copies at the moment.

Do you guys still want a picture of a Milon's Secret Castle? I have a DMG-CHN loose cart of it.

Picked it up... However I forgot it in a Chinese restaurant of all places Oh, the irony.

I dont have any, but i have a lot of DMG-JAP and DMG-EUR. One question, someone knows where i can buy gameboy jap protections for the game box, the size is a problem. I have buy some plastic bags zippers but they are not the best.

OMG I just realised Hammerin' Harry is actually Carpenter Genzo... they are 207 and 208. They are crazy games with wonderful graphics/music/levels/bosses, but Ghost Kingdom is really hard!

Yes they are pretty challenging games but fun!

So noone could add some new code / help me out with finishing the list?
