Final Fantasy LegendĀ completed. I should be able to post the picture tomorrow. Wasn't quite what I suspected. I would have never figured out some stuff without a guide to go by. Happy to have another one done though.
Yeah I had to check a guide a couple times the first time I played that one. It starts out really good and doable, then the "central tower" mechanic starts to get tricky, and then they start whipping out hidden doors and mazes, and for me it was almost not even fun anymore unless I got some hints. Definitely an obtuse not-actually-Final-Fantasy RPG. It's the opposite of Great Greed, where you never ever have any questions about where to go next. Try that one next if you've never played it.
Final Fantasy Legend started off strong and I had high hopes for it but it turned into more of a chore about halfway through. I also wasn't a fan of buying the stat upgrades for my human players from the store. I over leveled by accident, casually playing it in the background, while doing other stuff and it turned the whole game into the breeze.
I've never heard of Great Greed before. I'll be sure to take a look at it. Thanks for the suggestion.
