I had no idea these existed. How rare are they?

But how many people actually bought them? Just because it languished on store shelves does not mean many people bought them. I think most parents simply unplug the system and remove it from the kid's room until homework/chores/whatever is done.

I assume the lock bolts into the screw hole on the bottom of the NES? I could also see this accessory used to prevent theft of a rare game inserted into an NES. Or torture a poor school kid by only letting him play DK Jr Math or Mario is missing...

Ys would be cool, don't have a complete set yet but hopefully some day.

How about Suikoden of Star Ocean? Not the biggest sets of games but still would be cool to have a badge for em! plus I already got em all and need mo badges!

I'd like to suggest an award for 1st place (and possibly 2nd and 3rd) in the new NA monthly SNES contest I've put together. Participation is already quite good, an award would make it even better, and help ensure this thing is here to stay

Thought of another idea.

What if there was 100 club badges. Similar to the 100 guide badge. Could have one for different game genres like for 100 Platformers, 100 RPGS, 100 Shoot Em Ups.. Have 100 games In either genre and you get a badge. Probably don't need one for every game genre but these 3 would be cool! Definitely don't need a 100 Sports game badge!

But how do you quantatively define genres? Many games bend genres or have multiple sections with different play styles. Perhaps a "100 game" badge for 100 NES games or 100 SNES games or (insert system here). People gotta start somewhere. From there, 50%, 75%, and 90% milestone awards for the selected system would be a nice gesture because some people don't have the disposable income to collect complete sets.

Also there's badges for 25 imports, 25 reproductions, 25 pirates, but no badge for "25 homebrews" icon. I have well over 50 homebrews spread across several systems (the bulk of which is NES and Atari) and would like to see a badge for collecting homebrew games. I was specifically told that homebrews do not count as repros, so they should get their own category. IMO, purchasing homebrews is one of the best ways to show support for the retrogaming community.

You just do it! All rpg types count as an rpg, including strategy, jrpg, Western rpg, ect. And same for platformers and shooters. It wouldn't be too hard.

There are 2 badges for participating in the DKC and Starfox Competitions but I think that there should also be 2 badges for people who own each SNES Competition Cart

Is there a badge for Displays? Like counter top advertisement displays/standees for games? If not, would be neat to have one!

i know im new, i hope my opinions arent offensive here. this is my only form of social media currently and i think the sites design is great! tho im not the most fluent with expiditing it. (head down)

i read a post the other day where someone made a suggestion to have an award for beating all NES titles i thought was neat. think there is a current contest about beating as many as you can this year, if i remember correctly. think thats what sparked the idea.

and i wonder if anyone has suggested a collection worth total, or maybe its there and i didnt see it. or maybe i could just grab a calc and sit there for 3 hours and do it myself. just cool to know if nothing else.

and i notice that if i selected another tab in my browser from the screen im typing in right now, when i come back my txt is gone and i have to start over.

I havent seen a response at all about any more upcoming awards. Regardless, I would like to suggest an award : Playstation console owner. Nintendo and Sega one is in place, no reason to leave out the last forum.

It would require the following :
Playstation and PSOne
PS2 (original and slim)
PS3 (original, slim, super slim)
PSP and PSP go
Vita
Playstation 3D display
PS4
PSTV

I know there are other systems (PSX, Pocket station, etc) but most of those were only released in JP.

Is it necessary to have every hardware revision of every console? I don't think the Nintendo consoles award requires an NES toaster and toploader, for instance, so why should the "slim" models be differentiated from the "fat" ones?

Playstation
PS2
PS3
PS4
PSP
Vita
PS TV

of any version should be all you need.
