Hello! I stumbled across this site looking for unreleased NES games, I'm in love with my NES, but emulation seems to be a lot more realistic being young and in college. ;_;

I received my NES second hand in 1996 from my brother when he went to college. Even though newer systems were coming out, I just got bored with 3D games. (I was only about 6 at the time, and it was hard for me to control)

Anyways, I started picking up some cheap stuff now and then from thrift stores and I've managed to increase my library to 20 games now! (Probally microscopic to y'all, but hey)

I hope I can be accepted as a younger, and god forbid, X chromosome nes gamer. ^_^

edit: horrid typo

Emulation's great for trying games out and for people who can't support the collecting (as many college students are, myself included to an extent...), but, in the end, nothing really beats having the physical games. NES and older-game collecting is the sort of hobby where you can get into it quite easily, but you're going to have a hell of a time completing the collection.

Welcome to the forum!

Quoted for truth and seconded....Mmmmmmmmmmmmm boobs!   That is so unfair though,  boobs pretty much can trump anything a guy can do or say lol.  I can see this heading downhill quick when a female mentions boobs on a game forum, hehe.

Welcome to NintendoAge, nice to have another female in our domain of testosterone. We need more female gamers I say! I'm very lucky to have one as a friend that lives close by me, so glad to meet another lady that loves NES games.

Looking for Black cartridge Color Dreams games, last 3 I need:  Metal Fighter, Moon Ranger, Baby Boomer.  Please contact me if you have any of these!

That'd be the Angry Videogame Nerd. He's got a buncha stuff like that review, and has become a certified intraweb superstar. http://www.cinemassacre.com...

Apparently I feel the need to post a link any time I respond to you.

Hey, you'll fit right in!

Even if you don't actually have a mustache, James will hook you up. Just ask him.

It's a shame that more females seem to avoid taking deep interest in this hobby. From grade school all the way through HS graduation, there was only one girl I knew who had her own collection. There were a slight few others who had a system in the house because of a brother or dad. I'm not sure why video games have always been so male. It makes very little sense to me. There's no good reason that I can find.

Any female who bucks the gap is worthy of being admired... if you had armpit hair and smelled sort of weird, these things could offset depending on funk intensity. However, you would always be more legit than a girl having a stinky armpit and no interest in NES games whatsoever.

Welcome to the forum!
