That artwork looks fantastic. I can't wait to see this get released. Are there any plans to port this to another platform? As crazy as it sounds, a Neo release would be awesome! There have been some other similar homebrews, and Chunkout would lend itself nicely to arcade play. From there you could do an MVS, AES, and CD release. Again, I know it sounds crazy but it has been done in the past. I have no doubt that you be able to pull it off. I have some extra MVS carts that I would be willing to send you for free if you wanted to mess around with them. I know you want to do one thing at a time, but just keep it in the back of your head.

PCB design was ok in the end, just some cheap Chinese manufacturing created a small solder bridge between connector pins that I didn't pick up

The solder bridge was interesting, one time the game actually ran and failed to detect that it wasn't a GB color! The play field was completely black so I didn't get a very good score

so will it work on gbc and regular gameboy?

It's really designed just for the gbc (+ gba), but there will be a bonus added for the regular gb

Is the bonus 8 bit boobs?

Unfortunately, the 4 shade dithering on the GB doesn't do them justice

Final circuit boards should be arriving shortly, and the cart production side of things should be underway too. Currently aiming for a September release, keep your eyes peeled

Maybe it's been mentioned, but what are you doing for the actual cartridges?

I'm really excited about homebrews and this being the first Game Boy one will be even sweeter. Will this come with a Game Boy protective case or no?

Definitely planning to have a bunch of these for sale at Portland, with more available online afterwards.

There will be a box protector, haven't finalized the internal packaging yet...

Cartridges are based on a custom pcb I designed with some clear plastic cases. Pics are up at my website at chunkout.com
