You can do it either way!  However if you make a new post please edit your original post and remove the picture of the old score.  That's what I usually do.

Yes, the score keeper asks that everyone have one screenshot for an easier time with score updates. Feel free to make a new post, but try to have just one screenshotted score on the thread.

Along with guts, I also welcome you to the contests! It's a very fun time.

You did better than I.  My first game was a solid -40 LOL.  I wish I had a pic, but I do not. I've actually missed a few good scores because I get into the game and forget to pause before the game is over!

Believe it or not, my first game this week was 48-50...and then I remembered how to play.

Yeah my first game was negative something before I remembered how to play.
Protip:
On defense, your only goal is to steal the ball. Don't worry about blocking cause it's not gonna happen. Only hit B to switch to the player closer to the ball if your guy is behind the ball. Otherwise you're going to want to run at the ball and mash the A button wildly to try and steal it. Once you steal the ball, A will pass which is OK as long as you don't pass back over the half court line.

EDIT:  Old Score-8 (31-39)

I'm not sure if I'll have another chance to play this week so I'm posting this now.  Also my first game of Double Dribble ever!  I did pretty decent on defense but really poor on offense.

Holding your opponent to 39 points on your first ever game is really good! The shooting (and even dunking) can be tricky at first.

+5 (53-48)

Picture shows +7 (53-46), but I took this picture a tad early (11s left), unpaused the game, and the computer scored two points at the buzzer.

159 & 155 point wins?! What the F?! Is there some sort of glitch/trick/spamming I don't know about? I was holding on to my 141 point win in the hopes of sniping first place and getting my first win of the season. But after seeing these scores my motivation level is pretty much nil. And no offense bert, but it would be nice if I didn't see your name atop the standings for once.

None taken guts. 141 is a hell of a score though. I too was holding my 159, but I decided to show my hand early.

I seem to be able to get my shots in about 70% of the time, which are mostly dunks. If I could bump that percentage up a bit it'd add maybe 20 points to my score. Anyone have any tips or do I just need to keep playing to work out the timing?

Supposedly New York is better at close shots and Chicago is better at 3-pointers.
Also certain spots on the court supposedly are better chances for success.

Use Chicago. Practice for a bit shooting 3s from different spots. Try to find a spot or 2 that seem to go in alot. Try altering your shot release height to see if that makes a difference. Lastly, change your name to bertsampson

No 3 pointers were attempted in this run. Was actually trying to shut the computer out. I was up 42-0 in the 1st qtr and they hit a last second 2 pointer. I screwed up a bit in the 2nd. At half time it was 80-12. Buckled down in the second half though. I think I was up 122-14 or 15 at the end of the 3rd.

141

Lol,we think alike my friend. I'll beat you at a sports game yet,but not this week. Congratulations on that impressive score. Although I know I'm bitching about not being able to beat your score,to be honest you definitely are a welcomed asset to these contests and I'm glad I can compete against you even though I've been on the losing end most weeks. The contests need more guys like you!

Good work yourself! You crushed my score. I am pretty happy I held the cpu to under 20 points though. I'm guessing you and bert took (and usually made) 3 pointers the entire game? I figured dunking was faster. I was averaging 40 points a quarter and didn't think there was much room for improvement but apparently I was mistaken. Was trying to find a Double Dribble record for 5 minute quarter games, but all I saw were ten minute quarter games.
