For those who havent been to the smash bros brawl website, one of the most highly anticipated games of 2008, that I was anticipating so much that I went to a special expo just to play it, the games release date from december 3rd changed to February 10, this wasnt bad though, due to the fact that they added alot of new content in that window of time. Now, my friend who daily checks the website, informed me of a new delay, I was f**king pissed. The game that seemed so close to release, now is delayed to March 9th, yipee, another month of waiting, while gamestop hoards my 50$ they have from the preorder. Wanna know what else is weird? Japan whos release date was January 24, only got delayed one week, whaat the f*ck is up with that! Sorry for the strong language, I am just pissed off to the point of me wanting to fly over to japan and torture sakurai.

I hear ya... but you know what, if they get the game right, personally that's the biggest thing to me. Too many games have been screwed up because people tried to stick to unrealistic deadlines. Strange that only the US version is delayed though.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

This honestly doesn't surprise me at all. They did it to LoZ Twilight Princess too. They announced that game at like E3 2004 and it got delayed like 4 times and it took 2 and a half years to finally get that game out. The wii is sold out everywhere as it is so I think Nintendo figures that they will wait until they start getting Wii's to stay on store shelves a little bit longer so then they can increase the demand for the system again by releasing a killer app for the system which will make them sell out again which will make Nintendo even more money

I got one word for you nesboy: valium.

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

As much as I hate the wait, I'm glad they did. I truly believe that with the lack of AAA titles of the Wii, Nintendo is trying to put out perfection with this game. If that means delaying it another month then go ahead.

As for the Japanese delay only being a week, maybe it's for product research in case changes have to be made?

On a side not, it's not too bad - No More Heroes comes out Jan 22nd, that should tie you over.

What should we Europeans say? For Europe is still no date for release of smash bros brawl.

People on the gamefaqs site are mad about this one too. One kid even went so far as to list it in the top five worst things that's happened to him lately along side car breaking down and girlfriend dumping him.

Personally not much of a problem for me, I dont think I've preordered a game since Ocarina of Time or maybe Majora's Mask. I do need to pick up a wii pretty soon though.

Best off saying nothing buddy as Nintendo don't hear in Europe, just look at the stupid site they've just launched and the new star catalogue; all the decent stuff is sold out and will probably never be restocked and the stars to wii points system is just a complete joke, they never have any cards in stock (how can a virtual product run out?) and when they do, you can't get them due to "transaction error". A waste of time.

Unfortunately it goes something like this:

Japan >>> USA >>>>>>>>>>> Europe >>>> Australia.

and its not just games and release dates though, its the whole package.

Anyone saying they're taking the extra time to "make it right" I wonder if it's even possible that they're still tinkering with the program this close to production/shipment? JP already has theirs and I'm sure there's not going to be changes in the game-engine since the Jan release there.

The only thing I can think of (since JP already has theirs) is that they're working with some sort of translation problems, whether on the game, the manual or the case. Probably the packaging.

I think they delayed it again due to the Wifi. This is the first big time game Nintendo has done with massive multiplayer and I bet there were having problems here in the US with it. That is the only think that really makes sense really.

However I am excited that Olimar is a character now, I am pumped for that.
