Anyone know what happened to the original puppets that were used to promote Star Fox? Have they been destroyed, in a collector's hands, or does Nintendo still have them?

Stuff like this usually goes into a collection that never surfaces until they die. Either that or the designer has them in 1 of 35 boxes in their attic, each box containing equally cool stuff.
I saw a show where a Kenner designer had box after box of super cool prototype stuff hidden away in boxes.

I tried my absolute best to find where they were and I couldn't even find out who made them to begin with. I wouldn't even be surprised if they were made by the Jim Henson Company, or something like that.

I bet even Nintendo doesn't even know where they are, because they would probably use them in this commercial

This made me watch the commercials again. I like how the commercial for starfox2 displays a already yellowed super Nintendo at the end. It's like, the one they had in the break room.

Freaky. I love it. lol He's made to have an actor play him in a commercial, much like a fursuit, hence why his feet and legs are gone.

Their theroy is that is was two identical puppets? I may have to disagree a bit, as it could be that the puppets were made for commercials, then later were built for poses for promo uses and such.

^ That image was used for promo uses, same toothy grin and same seat belt buckles. I'm sure they made the mouths either separate, or functional to be closed in the promo pics.

Being that it was made as a suit first, I kinda figured the puppets where kinda big as the gloves looked like normal-sized ones, and it helps with detail and for puppet to look good in promotional pics. Also it gives us an idea of the size of those morbid robo feet. lol

So yeah, some new developments and info for y'all. Dig though it, have fun and sleep well with that image of Fox in your mind now.
