I swear my neighbor in Peabody used to have that exact joystick back in the day. We used to plug it in and play Super Mario Bros. 3 with it

My Sansui should be here Wed/Thur, at which point I'll take plenty of pics/leave my review.

Excited to see what ya think. It is all I will use now. The headphones really boost the bass and make these soundtracks pop. Silver Surfer sounds like freaking iron maiden right now.

Note: I still have an extra one that is non-functioning but fixable. Will sell it for beans.

I've actually had this one in my watch list for like two months now, finally decided to pick it up because of this thread. Been slow to pull the trigger because I don't like paying 50% of the total cost in shipping. Under $20 for a new in box NES accessory is still a pretty good deal. They won't combine shipping though which sucks, I wanted to get two, one to keep sealed and one to try out.

I did open it up. You wouldn't believe what the insides of this thing look like. It's like... two board that are soldered together like an ice cream sandwich. All the important bits are sandwiched in between the boards and inaccessible without a solder gun.

Aww, did you just dump a bunch of these recently for cheap? Maybe got outbid on that auction for the one you wanted? Maybe you just like to point out obvious trends to show everyone how smart you are? I dunno. The whole, "Hey I got this cool thing!" followed by, "I want one too!" goes back pretty far in all of us. It's how I got into Pokemon. Kid showed it to me, I thought it was awesome and asked for the same for my next bday.

I didn't think I needed a new controller but OP made me want to try out this controller and see if it's awesome! And I got $20 laying around, why not. Go convince me something else is cool and maybe you can have my next $20.

The funny thing is I very rarely get excited about something like this. My gut was strong with this one; I pounced when I saw it available. I don't use Ebay, so I probably paid a bit more than I could have, but that doesn't really matter too much to me.

Dat. Headphone. Port.
