You want to get some Cheetahtail? These "pussy-cats" don't come that cheap you know?!

The Kickstarter will begin 8 PM Central Time tonight!

Is this the guy who wants to sell carts for like..tons of money? I think this is. I am not impressed by this. Should be a 2 cart combo option and that be it. And it shouldn't be no $120+.

Complete in box game will be $60.

Pledge $1,000 or more

#8. YOU WILL RECEIVE REWARD #7, BUT IT WILL ALSO INCLUDE AN AUTOGRAPHED, BOXED, FACTORY SEALED COPY OF CHEETAHMEN: THE CREATION (THE CHEETAHMEN PREQUEL), THREE GAMES TOTAL, ALL WITH MATCHING HOLOGRAM SERIAL NUMBERS, MAKING THESE SETS UNIQUE.

Creation game isn't the same as just the normal cart...

I believe this is supposed to be a special-collectors set thing with two copies of Cheetahmen II (one to play, one to save) and a copy of Cheetahmen: The Creation, all signed by Greg Pabich and Mario. I personally won't be buying it, but it's just an option. If you don't feel it's a fair price, then don't purchase it.

I want a price drop for The Creation.
Let's face it, at the prices they're at right now Mr. Pabich isn't going to sell out all his stock. What he needs to do is put the stuff on sale, maybe at a price point of $100, and watch them fly. The red-cart SKU that is. He's already probably made his budget back on The Creation already, and if sales like that work for Steam it'll work here too.

I also believe that Creation has a big price, and I probably wouldn't have purchased it if Greg hadn't sent me my copy. I think Greg acknowledges this for the Cheetahmen 2 repro though, since it's down to $60, which for a game that comes with a box, custom sleeve, and comic book, is a pretty good deal.

ETERNAL: I have no idea. The only Kickstarter I've supported before this takes the money upfront and promises to send out the item later. I know Greg's a man of his word though, he won't let you down.

Does anyone have a link to the site where they had the repro for sale before?

I think it was 200 minimum correct?

The one before was the prequel. This is a corrected version of CMII.

Yah, that one.  Is it still for sale in that format?  If anyone has a link, that would be great.

That's an option to get both for as liitle as 260 if so.

Also, is the CM2 just the hack that fixes the game, or is it entirely different?

Well of course this repro is being dropped in price to compensate, and I do think it's fair, but, I'd like to buy The Creation as well and I'm sure there are plenty of others who are just like me who can't buy it because it's priced out of the range of mortals.

I'd be very interested in this, but his first showing was very off-putting. I'm not going to sink any amount of money into someone who can't make a functional website that is readable or even explains what he is selling.

According to the FAQs, they'll be losing money:

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU EXCEED THE GOAL?

THE GOAL DOESN'T ACTUALLY COVER THE ENTIRE COST OF PRODUCING THE GAME (WE HAVE PERSONALLY INVESTED SUBSTANTIAL SUMS TOWARD THE PROJECT) AND THE MARKETING BUDGET, SO EVERY EXTRA DOLLAR GOES TOWARD MAKING THE GAME BETTER, DEVELOPMENT QUICKER AND SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT CHEETAHMEN TO NON BELIEVERS AROUND THE GLOBE.

I have my doubts that they're in this to lose money, but that dude does strike me as possibly the world's worst businessman.

I thought the video was great!  Again cause I'm nuts....    Suprised to see a certain someone make an appearance.

60 pledged.     And, looks like I'm not alone, 6 others so far, and one lone crazy dollar from someone else.

A question I'm curious to have answered.  Where do the parts come from?     The colored cart shells look awefully similar to Retrousb parts.

Maybe Brian will chime in.

Does that old man remind anyone else of Mr Strickland from Back to the Future?. I'd be more interested in this if they showed what the carts are going to look like, or atleast show a picture of what they have done.

well there is an upfront cost of production on the video and the printing of the shirts. did pat and avgn do that bit for free? gamechasers? i'm not trying to be a negative nancy or anything, but i'm not sure if there are enough people to care about this crappy game enough to give $65k towards the completed levels.

sure didn't cost matt and mark anything to finish off level 3 of hoppin' mad and make it loop

The other question, is what happens if it's not 100% funded?

Say only 5k is raised, which is a pretty lofty goal.   Sorry, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to kickstarter, and how it works.
