"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Thanks guys.  And great job to everyone on improving their scores.  Judging from all the millions, you guys are really close to mastering this game!

And JD, don't sell yourself short on DK.  That 1.6 million score you posted was no joke.  You did that in just a week, while I don't know how often I've ever gotten that much on one man.  I have to be really lucky, as I usually make a mistake or two before I get that far.  Great job again!

Yes and no.  I taped the run, but only because I always back up my work in case I miss a chance to take a photo.  I wasn't playing for the world record because that would require me to play the entire game without pausing.  I took an overnight break in this game.

Still, it was a good game for me.  I learned a few new things, such as how to recover from a death.  Normally dying would just end a run for me, but I actually escaped from a couple of mistakes this time.

And of course, it's always nice to control when your game ends for a change.

Fair enough man.  I've been getting good at recovering from death too...got to the ball things on level 3 after dying a couple times, no easy feat to dodge all those rings being fired at me with only a single speed power up to my name   Still gotta work on not dying in the first place, but shooters aren't exactly my forte
