This link will take you to a description of what is up for auction here.

*LINKY*LINKY*

Awhile back my snes broke so I got out my "back up" system.
I looked at it a bit more closely and it was obviously the pirate one.
Aside from the slight problem with one end of the box, everything is in great shape.
Contents are mint.
Notice the "Nintendo Custo-mer service polyce, if you need asistence wiht this product"
and other such shenanigans.

I carefully took out the contents to test the system and put them back how they were.
The system does work, but it is pretty sketchy. It's like a freaking SNES Yugo.
Some games start right up, some require re-inserting to find the "sweet spot",
others seem to not work and then suddenly boot up 15 seconds later,
maybe work on a restart, some just don't work.

Definitely interesting and fun to mess around with, but not recommended for use as a "main" snes system.

Smells like fresh Chinese political prisoners,
none of the controllers were used or cords unwrapped.
This seems fairly rare to find on demand
.

BIDS start at $13.00 to cover shipping (In the US only)
Bid increments of 1.00.
Auction ends next Wed the 22nd 9 PM NA time.

HERE ARE THE PICTURES OF THE STUFF
OH BABY!!!1

Wow for a fraud they went into a lot of effort on it. Much of it looks fairly legit unlike a lot of crap, you really got to look at this. Nice find however you bungled into it.

I never knew such a thing existed.. it's very well-done though. Except the AC adapter, maybe. The controller is obviously fake unless it's just the lighting/camera angle, but the inserts look legit to me.  Definitely an interesting item, good luck with the sale

I dunno bad image perhaps but the controller looks convincing to me. The later pads and those with the new style dumped the gray ink for the embedded (Nintendo) emblem and the rest fits or at least I think so as the image is hazy due to the bag. The AC as you said is the dead give away outside of the crappy spelling errors. As far as the leaflets in there who knows, reprints?

Wow that kind of scares me a bit, never knew these existed either. I've always wanted a CIB Mini-SNES but don't want to buy it outright. GL with the sale.

This system actually has 2 controllers in the box.

That was one of the first ways I knew what it was, since this little playset deal was only supposed to come with one controller.
I was on "retrieve a functioning SNES from a BOX autopilot" and stopped like

"Whaa...  Two controllers?  Wait a minute.."

They're in a little stack, on top of each other. The buttons have a pretty strong push resistance and, at least through the plastic, look like no other clone controller I have seen. Maybe only made for this set but who knows...

Kind of makes you wonder how sturdy it is for long term playability as they obviously tried to mock something up pretty solid at least on appearances.

The box this will ship in will most likely be pretty large, so it may cost a nightmare worth of cash to get this puppy up to Canada.

-SO-
I'll only ship to Canada if the bidder is willing to view a scan of my post office receipt and pay any differences between actual shipping and $13 (the original US shipping "reserve" if you will)

Anyhow, I'll pack the system up and go to the post office later to see what rates I'm looking at for a Canada thing. Chances are I'll edit this post later in the day to reflect what I've discovered.

EDIT FOR CANADIANS*

Here are your two options if bidding-

OPTION A - A nice sturdy box!
You will most likely receive EXACTLY the item as pictured condition. -BUT-
According to the interwebs, a 16x16x15 inch box weighing 71 oz. costs $27.00 to ship to Canada! Good grief...

OPTION B - Bare Bonesin' It - will be covered in some scrap cardboard and/or that thick brown paper stuff. You will most likely receive the item with further flaws added to the outside box due to the shipping process. This method (weight, dimensions) comes in around the original $13 though, so you wouldn't have to pay crazy shipping, but you may have to deal with some dings in the product.

++++++++

If the bid gets high enough I suppose I can really get to town with scissors on the giant box and make a decent suit of cardboard armor for shipping, but... uh... that takes a lot of time and measuring and scissors and tape and whatnot!

Feel free to bid Canada peeps, but please keep the above in mind!

Does the system work with super mario rpg?
or any other region locked game?
Either way that's a cool looking clone.

You know that's a fantastic question. If that thing will run at the least w/out modding(cutting tabs) all NTSC stuff if not more it'll get a lot more attention.

So is this a new product selling now, or an old fake that made its rounds years ago? Never saw one of those before.

Got it back in 2007, It's very uncommon so I would presume there was a short little production run of these things sold a few years back and that was that (maybe made around 04' or 05'??)

I paid a godforsaken dickload of money for it when I got it (after all, it's a "BRAND NEW SNES JR CIB omgomgomgom111!!!". Threw it in the closet instead of taking a real good look at it. We were all collecting noobs at one point.

I hooked it for a little testing extravaganza months ago and had to do a special little arrangement of a powerstrip, TV RCA, and everything else sitting just inches apart because I didn't want to taint the NIB-i-ness of it and undo the twist ties on the wires. Used a normal SNES controller as to leave the originals un-tampered with.

I didn't test Mario RPG because I'm a retard. That did not occur to me at the time. I could just go bust it out and try, but I don't want to tamper with it anymore than I already have. Even if this would make the demand for this go up or the bids go up I plan on letting it rest in peace so that someone else can pop it's cherry when the time comes.

If the winning bidder decides to play around with it, and discovers that it plays all sorts of crazy international stuff, that's great. If it doesn't? Well crap. Simple as that.

Anyhow.... BIZZ-NA-SHIZ-UMP-A-DUMP-O-BUMP.

(i.e. the final bump of ultimate doom and destruction!)

I bought one of these on Ebay about a year ago, and the first thing I noticed was that there was no hole in the box for the serial number.  Upon closer inspection I noticed that there were many misspelled words on the box, with a misspelling of Nintendo (Nintenndo's) being one.  When I opened the box I knew for sure that it was a counterfeit.

I have two boxed(controllers are sealed, outer boxes are not) bootleg controllers and the box and controllers looks very similar, i think they were made by the same company.

Those are a much more recent development, but the outer boxes do have a similar quality about them. ^ I see those particular clone controllers EVERYWHERE.
Having owned a few of the ones you pictured, I can safely say that they are inferior to the ones packed with the system for two main reasons.

1. The controllers in the box w/ the system have a noticeably more gentle B A X Y push resistance than the controllers you pictures, where you practically need a megaton right thumb to push so much as "B."

2. The D-pads of the clone controllers boxed with the system have a rigid semicircle/hemisphere below the center of them. The ones you pictured don't, which can result in pushing opposite directions at the same time (and even all four directions at once, if you push the whole D-pad like a giant button.)

Here's my "killer the dog" theory- the company started off years ago making the SNES jr. systems in my original post. They may not have made much profit off of them due to the fairly extensive collection of goods in one place and the variety of manufacturing processes involved. After their first adventure in pirating, they just said "F--- it" and re-tooled their controller manufacturing facility to make a tidal wave of clone controllers at a very cheap price and flooded the market with them, making much more of a profit for a number of reasons.

Hell, the first time I bought those "light on the right" clone controllers you pictured I was duped by a salesman at a game store.

"are those new?"
"yes"
"why are they so cheap?"
*salesperson shrugs*
"They're probably fake..."
"Nuh-UHHHHH!!!! look look!! even got the seal of quality dude, this is Nintendo brand!"
"Okay, well in that case I'll take two!"

I went home, opened them up, went "... THE hell is this garbage?" Shook my fist at the sky, cursed the unknowledgeable salseman, cursed my own stupidity, then cursed when I checked eBay and saw that you almost can't even give them away.

Played a few games with one of 'em, then threw them in the garbage.
Ah, memories. I'm getting a bit out there now, so I'll shaddap'.

Lock thread please mods? It's OVER, for a spifftastic $25 shipped.
