Made a pretty big pick up last night! Tons of great stuff including that genesis console which I think I'll add to the ol' collection. =)    

It's oddly really heavy for a Sega Genesis model 1 console? Maybe I should open it up and take a picture of the guts?

Well I do own an online game store! =)
We just got done testing and wrapping all the consoles. Only 3 PS1s and 4 PS2s need to be repaired.
Surprisingly I can actually move PS1 consoles(albeit not for a whole lot.)
I actually have a harder time with Wii consoles since I make more selling the accessories separately.

Personally I wouldn't post anything as "a find" if it wasn't strange/unusual, or at least a great deal cost wise. As a hint no single item was more than 10$, no single item was cheaper than 1$.(A few things were free extras like the unscanned cards and some bulk common sports-esque games.) In the end... the Genesis landed up being completely free, which is an even better reason for me to keep it and add it to my collection!

ya thats a lot of work. if you got the repair skills you can make some good sales (aside from the ps1s). I once cleaned out a pawn shop of their broken nes snes and 64 consoles.... most were just dirty. made a lot but make no mistake you have work ahead of you haha. nice score

It does have a bit of a story to it. I got a call from someone who owed money(I think due to taxes?) and needed some funds. At first it sounded like it contained mostly junk, but then I got the text of the Genesis and that was when I was like, "Welp, I'm on my way!" Apparently the guy who sold it all to him long ago was a Sega employee and also sold him a nearly complete CIB collection of Neo Geo pocket stuff. He mentioned he made a ton off it, and I can only imagine what else he picked up at the time from that guy.
