In the same leiu of his stance toward selling the prototypes, I'm sure he doesn't want to reveal how he got them.  He probably has a network of people contacts he's made over the years, and to start revealing them could potentially allow new blood to get into his territory.

It's not that exciting.

Is that large board in the upper left Dragon Warrior 4? How would you use it? Plug it in with a ribbon or cable?

Upper right you mean?  That's a famicom proto.

That is what I meant. It still seems to lack the the pins that I would would have thought a Famicom game would need. Or is it a prototype of a Famicom?

I think that board works via plugging into the famicom from the top, since you can see the pins for it on the boards top, and it looks like they're soldered into, so my guess is the connector is on the bottom. What else they did to it, can't tell, but they might have used it to take the ROMS on the board and program them into the one ROM at the same time since they might of had a slot onto a custom made programmer to do it all at once. But that's only my guess how it worked.

You just plug it into the top of a Famicom. The bottom looks like a Famicom Disk System adapter. There are protos like this already just not as crazy looking..

Anybody have a good picture of the screws of the proto? Heard rumors that some have been soldered over the screws so they can NOT be opened. Anybody scene this before.

I have a handful that have epoxy covering the holes, but I haven't seen any with solder. Not sure which ones they were and they're packed up at the moment, but next time I dig them out I'll have a look.

Here is my Dragon Warrior 2 Prototype. I originally asked Benihana about this particular proto and if anyone had ever found any other enix prototypes. I bought this from an ex enix employee and he didn't have much info for me. Any new info would be appreciated. In case the pics aren't hi res enough the one eeprom says Dragon warrior II 6/11(probably the date), Ver.1, the second is the same except it says Ver.0.  What do you guys think?

Who is that sexy looking model you got to hold the proto? He is damn good looking. Maybe you should hook him up with some cool shit since he models your games.

I love the holes about chips that don't matter like the CHR-RAM and SRAM and lockout, haha. Sweet proto! And that dude who's holding is just begging to be put on ongoing douche bag thread.....kidding.

Interesting, I saw the pic of the ones you own and was wondering what your eeproms said since it looks almost identical. Maybe there was more than one person working on the project at the same time and there were two separate carts. Just out of curiosity what are the screws like on the back of your copy?
