Yea a repro might be bad, but I mean they do one for Stadium Events and that game SUCKS. Flintstones is actually fun.

excepting the april fool's SE, nobody around here will make a repro of SE to sell. it's heavily discouraged. the time walk games guy ran into the same thing when he showed up here. most retail games are viewed similarly.

well if you're going to throw that out there, let me throw this out there as well.

You've been repro-ing games lately that many have issues with.  NES Test cart for one.

You post a find of a Flintstones 2,  however your F2 find has 32 pins on the PRG chip when legit copies have 28.

You've been asking alot of labels and how to get corners right. 

The codes on the chips on your copy are wrong.  NES-3L-0 = Bases Loaded 3 not Flintstones 2.

I dunno, you should be able to answer that given your NES test cart repro.

Care to answer? I don't do repros never have never will, but I like to look out for the community and this is one of those times, where I would like some clarification given the sketchy nature of your find, the blurry pics and the inconsistencies of the game itself.

just man up and tell the truth.   at least maybe then you can salvage a little respect.

It's bad enough you F2 owners are going to compete with the identical copies coming out of South America, but if there's going to be a bunch of repros flooding in also, then be very careful with your purchases.

this is not a new issue. see: atari 2600 and hozer. fortunately most people with an interest in assembling carts have more integrity than to attempt passing a repro off as the real thing. and for the rest of them, due diligence will sort them out, just like other collectibles.

Fun side story:

I once bought a huge lot of very rare boxes for $2 a piece, one of which was Cheetamen II, off of EBay and picked them up locally.  The guy turned out to be super nice and we got to talking.  The person?  The one and only Hozer!  Small world...

And you're asking "why would anyone want to repro this" when you've repro'd many other expensive carts? AND at first you were asking if YOU yourself should repro it?

Naw, we don't.  It's without any shadow of a doubt, a reproduction.  At this point, it isn't even debatable.  I think we're trying to understand why an obvious reproduction, coupled with an ever changing finder's story (Yard sale?  Pawn shop?)  and the familiarity the seller has with reproductions, is being attempted to be passed off as the real thing.
