Any one else here remember a time when there was no such thing as video games. Whe I was a kid all we had to play was board games. It is amazing how many sysyetms have come and gone over the past 30 years and how advanced they are getting. I remember when my neighbor got pong and he was the man back then.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Not for me, but it would've been close. When I was very young, my father had a pong set, so I recall video games from the very beginning of my memories. I couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 years old, but I have very faint memories of the paddles and the funny looking TV we used to have.

Yes, before video games my thing to do was drive hot wheels in the mud, and occasionally smash them with a hammer. Oh yeah, and I did play board games as well. I still have my Dukes of Hazzard board game from way back. Loved that show!!

Well, I was never allowed to play my dad's Atari when I was younger, so the NES was my first gaming experience. We had tons of board games though, and G.I. Joe action figures.

My first system was colecovision, then I got an NES.  Even though I had video games back then,  we still played outside as much as possible, instead of sitting in the house like kids nowadays.  All these kids do now is sit in front of the tv, playing video games, getting fat and lazy.  Listen to me, I sound like an old man, im 27, but its true.

Even though we played the heck out of our NES, I think we spent more time playing outdoors or in our bedrooms than anything. I'm only 22 so I've always been around video gaming but when I was younger, I was often found outside running around with the neighborhood kids.
