Congrats to everyone that has broken 15k. I have gotten much better at this game over the past week but couldn't beat my latest score.

I couldn't get into this game either for the same reason. I ended up spending the week polishing up my TMNT 3 skills for this coming week's contest instead.

I got my score up to 16265. I'm done. It's not getting any better.

Thanks for writing. I apologize for the delay in responding to your email during this busy time of year.
In regard to your email, it is great to hear that you have found a copy of Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64. Perfect dark was a first person shooter game that was released in May of 2000. I personally enjoyed this game a lot during my mid-teen years since it allows for up to four players to play at one time. All the Perfect Dark cartridges were black.

I hope this information is what you are looking for.

Response I received from Nintendo customer support when I asked if they knew any thing about a black Perfect Dark cart.

@ Vectrex: LOL! Yeah, you'll overtake me if I don't keep trying to up my score. I'm really enjoying battling it out with everyone. Wish we could get even more people involved. Maybe I should post a "rah rah come on and play" thread about it...

This kind of stuff is exactly why I like people posting their scores early and often....you see where the bar has been set, which fuels the competition to try to surpass the current high score and makes for a much more exciting contest. My opinion on it anyway.

Updated my score! Can you beat me now

I'm working 2 jobs now on saturday, sunday, and monday so....nope. Until I quit this second job,I'll only be able to play wednesday through friday,so my participation will be limited. Was hoping to have played a few rounds of Yoshi today, but after working a 10pm-10am shift, all I wanted to do was go to sleep. I think everyone has passed up my score now. Oh well.

I updated my score, but I'm not sure I should have bothered.

Yeah, wish I had more time.  I was actually doing awesome and slipped on a super stack with this.  This score only took me about 10 minutes to get because I kept getting super Yoshis to do it.'

The game glitched out on me before I could get anything going. This will be a participation point anyway.

A few more runs might have done it but it's okay. I'm just glad I found a game I can excel at now. Everyone keeps saying Yoshi's Cookie is better and I havent seriously tried that one out so hopefully we can play it sometime.

Wow, close scores this week. Great job everyone!

So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to survive the fast levels in this game without resorting to just keeping the board really low and settling for small points. The enemies come down 3 at a time and I'm just not fast enough to manage the stacks very well. But can it be done?

However the strategy works, higher scores are definitely possible. The world record on this game is 71,190 (Ryan Johnson in May 2011).

After sucking at Yoshi and posting a score less than 5000 Pic to come
I decided I was much more suited to Yoshi's Cookie
I sat down and played until I got gameover and Whipped up over 14000 points and made it to 2-7
Not bad for a game I havent touched in over 2 years

2-7?! You mean you've been playing Mode-B!?

No, My yoshi Score sucked so I switched to another "yoshi" game and said I would need to wait to compete until "Yoshi's cookie" was the game of the week
