Yeah, that's how I wound up maxing out. Initially I was doing that and then jumping the seagulls, but I sson realized it's easier to just stop doing 360's and just glide under them. They can touch almost your entire torso w/o knocking you off. Hitbox is real wonky.
The whole game is a little wonky
Man, though, that is a feat. I commend you for your efforts! My thumb can't handle that kind of movement anymore...

Seems like this should be OK. Go by rounds, furthest progression. I'm obviously not an expert on the game, either, though, since I can't even get myself to turn the system on again
Could some of the more seasoned T&C players confirm?
