1/23 Mushroomy Kingdom- Finally a Mario level, its level 1-1 of Super Mario Bros that scrolls as you fight, also alternatively can load 1-2.

So what's new though? Just the characters? I admit the GC was a marked improvement graphicswise from the N64 but ... ?

Does the wiimote interface in some special way I guess?

They say that there is a very updated single player campaign mode, new mechanics... you can play using wii-mote functionality, "wii-mote on it's side" style, classic controller, or you can plug in your GC controller and play that way. (I fully intend to use my wavebird for this.

There actually seems to be a lot new with this game. Famitsu gave it a perfect score, and that's saying something.

I have never played any of them, is the whole point just to mash buttons and hit other people?  Or is there more to it?

zdan08 is you have an n64 or gamecube I highly recommend you try it out. I am not a fighting game fan, I hate tehm to be honest. But this series is just amazing, brawl seemes to be one of the most immerse titles of all time.
