Got home last night. Let's see what the grinder can do. I made it to stage 4 boss once before.

Mr. Pickles doesn’t make gaming very easy to do.

I was going to drive hour and a half round trip for an actual cart today but I said fuck that. I'm staying home.

It's not a game that's worth going out of your way to buy the cart.

Truth. There is one in town but the guy wants $7 or $8 for it and its trashed. No thanks. 

I just like to have a physical copy for the contest but it’s not gonna happen lol. 

I learned my lesson paying more than $2/$3 for common nes games. Not going to do it lol

I'm getting better

I just beat the game. It wasn't that difficult to beat either. Stupidly easy final boss.
 

I just made it to what I think is the final boss. I got hit by like 10 fireballs and died lol. I didn’t know what to do.

I dont know if I can muster another run. Maybe just to be able to say I finished it and to see the cheeseburger thing? 

 

All you have to do on the final boss is just get next to him and keep attacking and he'll die. But I got to him with around 5 lives or something, so I didn't have to worry about dying.


 

Lol well maybe I’ll give it another run. It’s not the most fun game ever but the music in the train stage is awesome. Is it the same music in all stages? Lol 

Holy flickering sprites Batman! The hit detection seems pretty good though. And the control isn’t awful. 
 

I don't know if it's a collision detection issue but I'll duck kick the jumping sword guy and the first kick will connect and then the second kick goes right through him so I take a cheap hit. Not an issue if you have a weapon.

You also need to be careful with some of the jumps like on the train or the pits in stage 6 or take lots of damage.

And sometimes the red ninjas that carry important items don't appear. Hate when that happens.






 

Oh ya I have had some issues with that jumping sword guy too. I’ll get kinda stuck if my dude gets too close and the sprites overlap. I’ve had the same issue with other enemies too. And when there are like three blue ninjas all stack into the same *I fell asleep* image
