I just got a 1992 product binder, here's some NES games that are listed but either didn't come out or changed names.  Already removed the ones that show up on Martin's list at http://www.nesworld.com/unrelease... or in the database.  They only have the name, no other info.

American Technos Inc - Games 'N The Hood

DTMC Inc - Moon Crystal

Matchbox Toys - Pyramids of Ra II (same as Pyramids of Ra?)

It also includes phonetic spelling of game titles, like Jeye-roe-mite and Ark-on

Games N the Hood has GOT to be Crash n the Boys, it was released the same year and is a bunch of minigames.

Moon Crystal sounds familiar -- possibly a Fami port that never made it?

I sincerely hope that if they were re-engineering Pyramids, they made it a bit more interesting. Trying to complete a single line in that game is like mowing your lawn with a pair of dull scissors.

Moon Crystal did indeed come out on the Fami, and that game totally rules. No reason why it shouldn't come out in the states. It's one of my most played games on the PowerPak

No idea about Games 'N The Hood, but Dan's reasoning makes perfect sense to me.

I want to say I've heard Pyramids of Ra 2 = NES port of Pyramids of Ra, but don't quote me on that.

Very, very cool stuff!

Thanks for teh link to the video Mark, that looks great.  I love that the hero can grab ledges and pull himself up.

Time to fire up my Powerpak and give that a go.

You wont regret it.  It's a fantastic game with stunning graphics.  One of my favorite Fami games.

Doesn't Coinhaven have it listed on his available repros? I've been eyeing that game for a long while now and I might just have to get it. It does look really good and I always like getting some feedback on it first since I don't own a powerpack.

Ninja Taro is MOST likely a port of the japanese game Ninja-Kun that's on like every multicart ever. The test art looks exactly like the characters in that game.

Ninja Taro might be the Game Boy version just like Pyramids of Ra was.

Moon Crystal looks amazing. I'd get a repro of that for sure.
I don't think I've seen such fluid animation on the NES before.

moon crystal is indeed a rare unsung gem that is great. its got great music and because of this my band does a 2 song medley just to try and sing the praises of the game and turn people on to how hot it is. i wish zelda 2 would have been more like moon crystal and less like faxanadu or olympus. its got sort of a steep difficulty curve to it but i think that makes it more fun in the long run, kind of in the same way that gimmick does. i'd love to see someone do a repro of it and i think out of all the games out there it would be a top candidate for releasing it. here's a live cut of our version of it just to show you how killer the music for it is.

As mentioned above, coinhaven does do a repro of Moon Crystal:
http://www.thenesdump.com/screen%......

As does GameReproductions:
http://www.gamereproductions.com/products/MoonCrystal.html

It's been around for a while and is definitely on my want list.

The list is specific that Pyramids of Ra II is a NES game, and labels Pyramids of Ra as a released GB game. Guess the II part just wasn't determined yet.

I thought Moon Crystal sounded familiar but didn't check repro sites. Shows a USA release was at least planned.

It's weird that they would make a sequel to a game on the main system, and not keep it on the handheld that the original was made for.

Check out this really awesome WTB thread that I found, I heard this guy wants games at the cheapest rate possible!  Now on the look out for Unlicensed NES!

Hey

Looks like I at some point have replaced the php file for the unreleased section with one that wasn't the right one meaning that roughly half of the titles weren't visible.... that has been fixed now

I don' think it's that strange. Kirby started off on GameBoy before they made Kirby's Adventure for NES.

Same goes for Gargoyle's Quest if I remember correctly.
