Figured we'd start a new tradition here and NA. On $.20 listing day, we'll post all the crazy high-priced stuff that gets listed.

I'll start with a factory sealed Metroid:

I don't know if that sealed Metroid counts because it states the .20 listing day promotion is on Auction Style only.  If that's the case, then this person paid full price to list it...

Placed a bid on your Action 52. My finger hovered over the BIN for a while, but I figured I would try my luck.

My Auctions

Here are my cheap listing day auctions, pretty much the same ones as I listed last time that didn't sale Was to lazy to make new ones in turbolister. They were supposed to be listed later, but turbolister screwed up, I blame the new update I just downloaded for it :-/

I have not heard much of this game but it did sell quick.
I put it on my watch list and someone must have offered him the price.
Think the first bid was $49.00?
Is this a proto or a remake?

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

that's certainly a new frontier in ridiculousness and I'm sure he'd be the first to admit it, but you gotta love his auction commentary:

THE GOLD NWC

This auction is for the GOLD NWC cartridge. Only a handfull in collectors hands these days its a very rare item. 26 were made and about 10 have been accounted for. This got me to thinking of all the things more common than the NWC gold cart.
Babe Ruth autographed baseballs

Diamond encrusted pimp sticks

Two-headed snakes

Hookers with braces

Action Comics #1 (first superman)

Real 40 year old virgins

Pair of pink sidewinders and a bright orange pair
of pants

blind men in strip bars

-------------------------

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Buyatari kills me! LOL, I love it! I see this time around he's put a price no one would even consider touching

$199 for a Red Box BoS? I hope it's worth that much because I have two in transit to me now!

Damn double post from time outs!

But I'll stick this in here... thought it was funny. The seller paid extra for his auction to be highlighted with a border on the search listings, and then proceeds to have THIS as his auction picture...

It does come with everything pictured, so if you need some toes (Dude, I can get you a toe) it could be a good deal.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."
