haha, don't think bunnygirl was too pleased with that one!

Seems the second shipment is much bigger too by the scale of things.

I'm curious about the replacement pin connectors, though.

Based on the estimate of 1-2 weeks for availability in another thread, I'm guessing that bunnyboy and any helpers are working to unpack the latest shipment, get all of the backorders out ASAP and will then address the issue of getting new connectors out to launch unit recipients.  I'm definitely in the same boat, hoping to get my hands on one sooner rather than later (as well as the 3D printed port brace) so that I can get the system out and in use in front of my 2 year old without having to worry.

-------------------------
Need Stadium Events + Panesian titles, 6-in-1's, Menace Beach, Moon Ranger & Secret Scout to complete my licensed/unlicensed sets.

If you've got any of the above for sale, hit me up!

I hadn't realized they had already started shipping, let alone arriving at peoples' doors! If mine arrives before my 2 weeks of vacation is over I'll be one incredibly happy camper.

Yeah, he gets them out pretty quick, especially if you just order the console.

Order date does not matter so much. All AVS orders should go out within 1-2 weeks regardless of when or what else was ordered with it.

Got mine in the mail yesterday! The picture quality is amazing, and all but one of my NES games worked on the first try. I played Kirby's Adventure last night for a good hour or two with my PS4 controller and had no issues. No apparent lag over what I would normally expect with bluetooth.

Has anyone else tried a green strip game yet? So far the only game mine didn't play was Guardian Legend(my only green strip game). I tried around 10 times, but I'm still just getting a black screen unfortunately.

I also had some issues with the famicom slot at first, but after changing cartridges around 40-50 times it seems to work perfectly. I'm guessing the pins just needed to be worked a bit and weren't making full contact at first.

So far, I'm very happy with the console. Just wondering if anyone else has tried a green strip game at this point.

My Tetris has the green strip. It will work if you insert the left side first.

I played through 84 grueling games of Bases Loaded with my green strip cart, all on my AVS.  Left side first!

I thought the pin connectors were supposed to be fixed on this batch?

My impression after the first night with the AVS:

Shipping/Packaging = great
AVS Build Quality/Presentation = great, fully functional. Feels nice and sturdy. Love the trapezoid design!

Setup was a breeze. Updated AVS firmware from stock v1.10 to v1.120b8. Got it all set up in the living room.

First game played? Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt (childhood copy). Played a bunch of games off my NES Everdrive N8 all night.

Compatibility issues? No issues I can tell so far! None in the second night either!

Lag? I can sense a little, but not too bad. Certainly not the AVS' fault. Did several manual lag tests via 240p test suite and getting an average of 1 frame of lag. My setup is AVS to Kinivo 5-port HDMI switch to 51" Samsung Plasma HDTV (530 Series, 2009, "Game" Mode). Hasn't seemed to affect reflex-demanding games like Punch Out and RECCA Summer Carnival.

Video/Audio? Freaking amazing video quality. Can't seem to find a scan-line setting that looks good sitting 6-8 feet away from the TV. Audio reproduction is accurate. It sure is nice having an expansion audio volume slider.

AVS Wireless Controller? No additional latency. Ergonomics are better than I thought! I got used to the clicky buttons very quickly. The left handle was wonky out of the box like the top/bottom plastics aren't getting tightened down enough because the bottom screws are a little too far away to effectively keep the handles pinched together. Tightening the bottom screws helped make the handles/sides of the controller feel a bit more stable.

I was thinking this was the case as well.
