The Donkey Kong contest is now live. Super Mario 3 will not end early and still ends tonight at 11 PM NA time. If you're tired of stomping on Goombas and dodging giant, man-eating fish, come jump over some barrels and show a giant ape who's the boss with Donkey Kong.

Also, assuming we hit 50 participants for the Super Mario 3 contest, the drawing will be really late tonight (after midnight). I'm working late tonight and won't be able to do the drawing until then.

Ok... did another run and got 551,690 on a stupid mistake.  I'll call that good enough.


I sure won't beat the people in the millions, but can I at least get props for completing the challenge (>200k) on a single run on the first level?

I was being too cautious and I died in 8-1.  My only death!  I'm a little disappointed I couldn't pull off the no-death run but a one-death run will have to be good enough!

I've never paid attention to the score in this game before. I've always been more concerned with just making it to the end.
After reading about the point racking locations posted by dr.robbie, I was able to do much better.  I messed up in a few spots and know I can do better, but I don't think I'll be making another attempt for this contest.

48 scores have been submitted - 47 of which have been verified.

just a couple more people need to submit a score over 200k and somebody that entered a score this week will randomly win a

I believe tramfan3's score makes #49 (page 13, 1st post). Just one more person with 200k to make 50! I'm working on getting sign-ups now...

i saw in a thread the other day that NA is temporarily not accepting new members.
