So here is who is left:
Edit: Jeb Bush Dropped out - 2/20/2016

The Democrats:
Hillary Clinton - Former Secretary Of State
Bernie Sanders - United States Senator

The Republicans:
Ben Carson - Retired Neurosurgeon
Ted Cruz - United States Senator
John Kasich - Ohio Governor
Marco Rubio - United States Senator
Donald Trump - Real Estate Mogul

Clinton . Sanders. & Trump seem to be the top dogs in the polls so far.

Note: If you are not from America but have an opinion, I am sure we would all love to hear it. I imagine this entire thing looks like one hell of a joke to everyone else. Hell, I bet it might even scare the other countries thinking some of these guys might be in charge soon.

My current opinion:

Hillary Clinton : I don't understand how anyone could even think of voting for her that wasn't in bed with her in some way. The only reason to put someone in office like this is if you are recieving something in return. She has been getting paid over $200,000 per 1 hour speach for awhile now and has been using it as a way to money launder. The though of people voting for her just makes me cringe.

Donald Trump : I thought him running again was just another publicity stunt. I never thought he would make it this far and it is actually scary because it shows how messed up America has gotten. I have personally spoken to a lot of people and they are all for this crazy man. Some of the comments that have come out of his mouth make me think people will stop thinking about voting for him, but if anything they are leaning more towards him then ever. He wants to put up a wall between the US and Mexico and deport all of them. Just wording it like that just seems to show little to no concern for lower class life. He said he would have America do much worse then waterboarding because he doesn't think it is torture. I can only think uneducated Americans are voting for this man and that is all it could be.

Bernie Sanders: The guy comes off a little crazy to me. He is very well educated and makes a lot of good points in the debates. He says he has plans to fix our healthcare system and to fix the economy and so much more. I just always have a hard time believing a politician when all they say is things I want to hear and make a ton of promises. I know the man has fought long and hard for a lot of civil rights and equality over the years. He seems to be the best option out of the top 3 currently.

The lack of a good republican candidate or a centrist Democrat is daunting.
Bernie has good ideas, but he is far too leftist and won't be able to do pretty much anything while the republicans control the senate and the congress. Trump is just plain crazy and would bankrupt US in no time, like he did with his companies.
I like Bill Clinton, not so much Hillary.

There's not a single candidate in either party that I can even fake support behind. The coverage is one of the few things that makes me turn off NPR. I just don't care to hear it, and I'm typically fairly interested in politics.

I agree with your thoghts on both clinton and trump, how anyone could vote for them is beyond me.

After everything clinton lied about should be enough to disqualify her.

And trump is the prime example of the 1% that is killing this country. Also he has failed in many avenues even in business many times so saying he is the best business man is flawed logic.

Bernie sanders makes a lot of good promises but i cant see any of them coming true.

Its pretty sad when the best candidates we have are the wife of an impeached president who cannot keep her lies straight and follow simple rules like email protocol, a tv personality like donald trump who has a faker tan than a jersey shore cast member, and a socialist who has never accomplished anything over his years in politics.

Glad I don't vote! I've never been passionate about anyone in politics and I'm sorry some people get so heated over it. Our government will always be inefficient and inept no matter who is in charge.

+1. This is the worst load of candidates in my lifetime, probably. By a wide margin. It's shocking that there isn't even a "well, I could at least deal with this yahoo for 4 years since the rest are terrible" candidate in the entire field.

Agreed that I wouldn't be comfortable with a single one of the top 3 in office. That's all I care to say about that.

I'm not voting. I disagree with the idea of voting FOR someone to vote AGAINST someone you dislike. I wonder if what I just said made any sense...

But when you vote for someone you're giving your approval, and letting the two parties think they have a candidate people like. They all suck this year.

Hillary is all of Bill's faults and none of his virtues.

Donald Trump reminds me of the times Lex Luthor ran for president in the Superman comics/shows. Except we don't have an extraterrestrial god-being to stop him.

I think a lot of the support for Trump is the desperation of a segment that has been on the losing side of history.

It's pretty obvious in my opinion that I was pushing more towards Bernie Sanders but I tried to be as non biased as possible. I will indeed be voting for Bernie Sanders as it seems like the best option that we have. The man has a pretty good head on his shoulders but he also carries a lot of socialist views. I just want someone to get rid of this mandatory healthcare shit and fix our crazy spending habits.

Kasich seems to be the most level headed of the bunch, even over Sanders (not by much, though.) Too bad he has almost no shot.

Jeb has a last name problem.

Carson is Trump Lite, or Herman Cain 2.0

Cruz is hated by just about everybody. He's not establishment republican, and he's too slimy for left/moderates.

Rubio, eh, he's kind of almost presidental, just not quite.

I've started exploring going our of country for overseas education and those kinds of experiences if Trump is elected president. Will be fun to think about what the country will be like when I got back. This is the first year I'm able to vote, and I fully play on voting, butter past elections I've always known who I'd vote for. This year I'm just overwhelmed with the lack of even a decent candidate. Maybe I'll just vote for Jesus.

Clinton has experience but has too many questionable connections, funding issues, and controversary.

Bernie is level-headed, has good consistency, is an ideologist but does line up with most of my views. Him/his staff have had a view missteps that are turnoffs. I believe that he can be the shake-up that Washington needs to help America's future. I will most likely vote for him if he can get the nomination.

Trump is a racist, fascist, clown

Carson is inexperienced, his views are bizarre to say the least, and he just always looks like he's in over his head

Cruz is a hypocritical deficit-hound/war monger and his social policies are influenced way too much by Christian beliefs. I think he is worst person of the bunch. I'm scared that if he ever gets the nomination that people may take him more seriously than he deserves.

Rubio comes off as a GOP establishment puppet who only speaks in 15-second sound bites. His puppet endorsements are laughably bad.

Bush has too many ties to his brother's staff for me to ever trust him.

Kasich is level-headed and consistent but I doubt he has the moxie raise any new tax revenue and will focus on cutting existing policies to fund any new programs. He seems to be more flexible than his peers on divisive issues and could be a good compromiser. Of the shit-show that is the GOP candidate pool, he's the most likely to get my vote.

I think Bush and Kasich are the most tempting VPs for whomever is the front-runner to try and get the FL/OH swing votes
