Garage sale, got the 4 games and carrying case for $2 total. Nothing special, but considering how my luck has been horrible lately I guess it's better than nothing (or is it?). Bad picture, but the games are Super Mario Land, Battleship, Paperboy, and Wheel of Fortune. Glad to find something at least!

pretty good find! I've never seen that case before, but then again, I don't really know much about Gameboy stuff in the first place

Oh man, my uncle used to have that case, I remember playing his Game Boy when I went over to their house. I haven't seen it in years

But yeah you did good, definitely worth $2!

Went to a thrift shop today that had posted an ad on Craigslist saying they had some SNES games come in. Got there as soon as they opened and saw about 7 or 8 games, mostly close to eBay prices (Mario All-Stars for $15, etc). Then I see Super Metroid for $3, hah! The Playstation 1 carrying case didn't have a price tag on it, so I ended up getting that for $1. Not a bad deal for $4!

Got this off craigslist, was a bit of a runaround to get it. After three trips looking, I finally got it! Unfortunately, it didn't light up when I plugged it in, so going to replace a bulb inside to see if it works. The on/off mechanism is jacked up, so hopefully I can get this baby working. The price was right though - FREE!

I'm not sure it's worthy of a whole new thread in the price check forum (if so, scream at me), so maybe I'll just ask it quickly in here:

What do you think this is worth if I fix it? Not neccessarily trying to sell it, just trying to figure out the max amount I should put into it. Thoughts?

Free? Wow! Nice! Even if you can't get it fully working again, that is still a great display item for the collection. I'm a sucker for light-up signage.

I'd say if you got the light working and cleaned it up a bit, you could easily get $200-$300. My thoughts anyways.

Hit a few thrift stores and got some ok deals. The MGS games are all new, didn't have them so that was nice. SNES controller is OEM, Genesis one looked nice so I grabbed it (even though I don't have a Genesis!). Crash Bandicoot guide was free, a little water damaged but whatever, added to the guide stack! Spent $11 total.

Oh, and the World of Nintendo sign is almost fixed up, should have pics of it working next week!

It's been pretty slow lately, but managed to find a few good things:

Random thrift store for $7 total:

N64 AV cables
N64 AC adapter
N64 controller

Also found some nice condition PS1 games at Goodwill:

Final Doom
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

The case for Final Doom was pretty gross and cracked, so I bought a 99 cent Eric Clapton music CD that had a mint case. Switched it out and it looks great. Also, I would have never found these if I didn't make a habit of looking places I wouldn't necessarily expect to find games. These were mixed in with a few VHS tapes on top of a clothing rack. Total spent with the music CD - $5.

So I hit the flea market near my house and a few random thrift stores today and here's what I ended up with. Nothing mind blowing, but I was actually looking to get a nice CIB Castlevania (still need the other two) and wanted to upgrade my Zelda, so this worked out great. I was very surprised to find such nice CIBs at the flea market. I would give these two about an 8 out of 10. Good enough for me!

Hot Shots Golf 3 - $2
All the PS1 games - $13 total
Gamecube Controller - $2
PS2 Dual Shock Controller - $3
Castlevania - $25
Zelda - $25

So it was an ok day. I plan on keeping all of these so even if some of the prices were just so-so, I'm happy The controllers, especially the PS2 controller, both look like they were rarely if ever used.

Those are some nice looking CIBs there, and the prices weren't too bad. Great hunting!

Well, hasn't been all that great out there, but picked up a few things the last couple days.

Sega Saturn - Virtua Cop (not for resale) - $1.50
Dual Shock Playstation controllers - $3 each
Gamecube - Super Monkey Ball - $5
PS2 Slim + 2 memory cards + Madden 2008 - $6

I didn't have Super Monkey Ball, so I bought it to keep. Disc was in really nice shape and everything so seemed ok to me. The PS2 slim didn't have any hookups, but with 2 memory cards and the shitty sports game I can't complain. Pretty funny actually, when I was waiting in line, one of the ladies that worked there asked me what I was holding. I told her it was a Playstation but I don't think she believed me. She asked a co-worker that was passing by what I had and he looked at it and said, "Oh, that's a battery".

A battery? LOL!

Thrift store for $30. Has expansion pack installed, most of the games were crap though. At least Super Smash Bros. and Donkey Kong 64 were in there.
