There was a very large neighborhood garage sale that started today. An ad for a garage sale in that area led me a decent selection of cheap games and manual.

I picked up for $11.25

Games-
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) Complete
NBA Jam (SNES) Cartridge only
Super SNES Super Scope 6 (SNES) Cartridge only
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) Disc only
Parasite Eve (PS1) Disc 1 only

Manuals-
Street Fighter 2 Turbo (SNES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Tetris 2 (SNES)
Captain Commando (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES)
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (NES)
Wrath of the Black Manta (NES)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) Missing front and back cover
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)

I may go back Saturday if I have time to pick through it again because I skipped some SNES items I wasn't sure the value of.

Another garage sale had Sonic the Secret Rings (Wii), Spyro: Ripto's Revenge (PS1), and a FC3 Plus with two controllers that I grabbed for $8.00.

I went to the Boom City Swap Meet in the Marysville, WA area today. It took me about an hour before I had any luck but I ended up spending all the cash I had. I also met a couple of swell NA members there as well.

I walked out of there with-

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
Bioshock (PS3) $8.00 for both games

Legend of Zelda: Minsish Cap (GBA)
Izuna: Unemployed Ninja (DS)
Jump Super Stars (DS)
Super Spike V-Ball/Nintendo World Cup (NES)
Super Smash Bros Melee (GC) $20 for all five games

Blaster Master (NES)
Castlevania 2 (NES)
Demom Sword (NES)
X-Men (Genesis) I think I paid $15 for these

Skyrim (PS3) Disc only
Halo 3 (X-box 360) Disc only
A couple X-box sports titles that were disc only
Legends of WrestleMania (X-box 360) Disc only
a handful of PC games- Riven, Phantasmagoria, and The 7th guest
some misc. junk PC cds and a cd binder
This lot was an unbelievable $5.00

I also walked away with a serious amount of Magic the Gathering cards too.

Here are some pics. I included what I found the previous day at a yardsale.

This wasn't really my find but was due to a great co-worker.

I have a subordinate that bought a PS2 slim and a few games from me recently. He owed me $35 and hadn't paid me yet but I trusted him to do so as I had bought games from him and sold him a few before.

Two weeks went by but on Sunday morning he walks in the door and told me that I'd be happy for four reasons. Reason one was a Nintendo 64 with two controllers. Reasons 2-4 were GoldenEye, Super Smash Bros, and the gold/holographic LOZ: Majora's Mask (which I had found a beautiful manual for a couple days earlier). He gave me the N64 and games in place of the money he owed me. Best part was that he only paid $10 for all of it at a garage sale.

Everything works and we are both happy with how that worked out.

I had a couple errands to run today so I hit up a pawn shop that has always been good to me and a local Value Village.

I didn't buy much but the Value Village was unusually loaded with games but most were over priced or were lack luster titles. I picked up boxed copies Aladin (Sega Genesis), Space Harrier, and Zaxxon (both Sega Master System).

I picked up SSMB Brawl, Resident Evil Outbreak 2, RoboWarrior, and Final Fantasy 12 at the pawn shop for $20.

I also had to stop by my storage unit to find some Goosebump books I tucked away for my daughter. Instead I found four manuals, two PS2 demo disks, the box for Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on the N64, and the box to my Zelda DS Lite. I didn't realize I had these stashed away.

Found this oddity at a garage sale over the weekend.

Playboy Karaoke Vol. 2 for the Sega Saturn. I was buying a few controllers and some games at the garage sale and the guy mention he had something else he wanted to get rid of but couldn't let any kids see it. I instantly forked over $5.00 more bucks.

The backside of the cover and the inside of the insert does feature nudity. Besides the cracked jewel case it is in great condition. The cd looks unused and sadly will continue to be unused as I don't have a Saturn to play (watch? sing?) this on.

I haven't posted on this thread in a while as nothing cool had popped up recently but I made a couple nice finds at Value Village this evening. Winnie the Pooh Preschool and Winnie the Pooh Kindergarten for $0.99 each and a sealed Backyard Baseball for the gamecube for $6.99 (it's pretty clean but has a small dent and a chunk of the seal missing of the backside).

Some nice grabs today at a couple pawn shops. I didn't get any great deals but I still made off decently.

I paid $115 total today for:
Pokemon Yellow and Super Mario World 2 for the Gameboy. Both of which still save.
Kane and Lynch: Dog Days for the PS3
Evolution Worlds for the Gamecube
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the X-Box
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and God of War Ghosts of Sparta for the PSP
Labyrinth UMD for the PSP (DAVID BOWIE!!!)
Pokemon Puzzle League and Pokemon Snap for the N64
Izuna: The Unemployed Ninja Returns for the DS (I have both Izuna games for the DS now, each found in the wild)
City Connection for the NES

AND....One Piece Unlimited Adventure and Dragonball Z Tenkaichi Budokai 3 for the Wii.

I unfortunately have an arrangement with my wife in which I need to either profit or make my money back before keeping any of these so for now everything is for sale (except for the Labyrinth UMD and Pokemon Snap which my kids will love).

That being said, I just sold one of my dupe copies of One Piece on eBay. Ended a few hours ago and sold for over 70$ CIB. So, you may be able to re-coop most of your $ invested on that one alone. The DBZ-3 you obtained is not the the rare edition but still worth a 20-30.

Now that the weekend is now over I have a couple of finds to report. Both are very nice.

The first lot was a stack of nine SNES games and some empty games cases for the PSP. The games were Goof Troop, Super Black Bass, Super Mario World (two copies), Mortal Kombat, Pilotwings, Buster Busts Loose, Jurassic Park, and Mario Paint. Best of all this lot was free! One of my wife's clients were going to donate them to goodwill when my wife had the good sense to offer to take them.

Then I made a craigslist deal for 11 Vectrex games for $50.00. Many of these games came with their very beat up boxes and some still had the overlays. Even better was that I got to learn all about the Vectrex as I had never heard of it before. I have attached some decent pictures of my Vectrex find.

You should really contact that person again who sold the Vectrex stuff and see if they have the 3D Imager in their closet too. Finding all 3 of the 3D games is pretty awesome.

Haven't spent much time looking around lately but I find a sweet Banjo-Kazooio pencil case. There were splotches of crayon all over it but I got it cleaned up a bit. Check it out. I found it at Value Village for .99 cents.

Hello again. I ran my usual loop through Arlington and Marysville, WA today. I found more than I usually do. Between the six places I went to I spent about $38 (not a steal by any means) and grabbed the following games.

Bangai-O is the big find here for $4 but I did manage to get the only disc I needed to complete Legend of Dragoon (which is now 1 original disc and 3 greatest hits discs). Bubble Bobble and Donkey Kong 3 are nice too.

Last finds for 2012 but they were good ones. I checked out a couple thrift stores after work and made a couple finds. Nothing rare or valuable but I thought they were really neat.

At the local Goodwill I spent about $24 on the following:
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master's Guide from 1979
Sealed Marvel Legends Emma Frost Toy's R Us exclusive
An N64 controller Pack
Final Fantasy IX black label with all inserts, great looking discs, and in amazing condition

At Value Village I picked a DS case for $4

The next day I ventured out to check out a pawn shop near my old store. That place was a awesome. All PS1, PS2, X-box, and Gamecube games were 2.50, the only SNES game was $1, DS games were $5, and all current generation games were in their words "All games are $7 unless it's a Mario or Mario Kart game." Their selection wasn't very big but I snagged Sim City (SNES), Soul Calibur 2 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube, The Dukes of Hazard: Racing for Home for the PS1, Zelda: Twilight Princess and The King of Fighters Collection for the WII, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Special Edition for the PS3. I spent less than $35 here.

The last stop was a small thrift store and I wasn't expecting much. The only game I found worth getting was Super Shot Soccer for the PS1 for $1. However something caught my eye in the toy section as my little girls were ravaging the piles of toys. There were FiguAx mini busts of Ryu and Chun-Li made of the 15th anniversary of Street Fighter that were unopened for .50 cents each. I bought all ten of them.

On the way out of town I stopped by my old store for lunch and to see my old crew, which was nice, and there was a single copy of the final issue of Nintendo Power left on the magazine rack. I had tried to get a few copies at my current store but I was so busy with Christmas prep that I forgot to grab one and despite digging through all the boxes of magazine returns couldn't find any. All in all it was a great day.

I have a cool old guy that shops at my store and happened to over hear that I collect video games. He is in the process of downsizing his stuff in an effort to balance his karma so he told me that he would bring in a few things for me since he is getting rid of it anyway. What he ended up bringing me was his Playstation collection. This is what I received-

I have the game to every manual pictured above plus a PS2, a PS1, a not pictured older Playstation, six controllers, 8 or 9 memory cards, and a cd book to hold games.  Most of it smells like cigarettes and none of the games have jewel cases but when I asked him how much  he wanted he told me since it was going to someone that collects games that payment wasn't needed.

There is over $250 worth of games and consoles including many rare RPGs like Brigadine and Deception 3. Best free find I will likely ever have. I have the stuff sitting in boxes with some baking soda to remove the smell currently but I am looking forward to play Bloody Roar 1 and 2.

Nice finds.  I live about 30 south of Marysville and have had some recent good luck there as well.  A week ago at the Value Village I found:  Metal Storm $14.99, Battletoads/Double Dragon (NES) $2.99, Top Gun $1.99, Bad Dudes 2.99, Basewars 2.99, Ocarina of Time $2.99, and Doom 64 $2.99.  And they had some other stuff that I left behind that I already had.
