Ya, there is a extra life loop. You buy it, die, buy it again. 

I might have one more run left. 
 

Apparently you found the same loop I did. I passed along the info so they can make a note of it in future contests.

I could die on purpose at the end of the last level a few times and get a lot more points but I'm going to leave it at what I got

First time playing this and only played once hoping to get a participation point but ended up doing okay. Didn't really know which order to do the levels but figured I would be playing them all eventually. My run ended on the boss at the end of the "Fire stage"? Could not figure out a strategy against that saber blade and all the freaking jumping, but overall I enjoyed this week's game!

I thought of this too but it just seemed kinda cheap, I guess.

Something has been up with the site all day. Guillavoie posted on the previous page that you can post your score and upload your picture when they get it fixed.

There are two bot power ups and an energy recharge platform right before the final boss, so if you can go into the fight with the robot suit and a full life bar, it makes it a lot easier.

Yep, and that didn't help me in the least!    When I beat the game for fun I did end up beating the boss without any powerups, but I wasn't able to do it again.  These bosses take a long time to kill with just plain punches.

Scores still had to be posted by 11:00, but you were allowed to wait to upload the photo once the site gets fixed. From the time stamp on his post, he didn't get his score in until 11:40.

Yeah, that's what hurt my score. Those boss fights are so time consuming that once they started flashing, I would just go in and start punching away to get it over with. If I had taken my time, my score probably would have been closer to the top two given how many bonus points I lost.

Going into a boss fight you want a full life bar and the power suit. That way your able to go in swinging and not have to worry about losing life bars. 

The bosses are fairly easy this way. The difficult part, for me, was getting to the boss clean and figuring out where to pick up the last power up for the suit closest to the end.

It seemed like the only bosses that I could get to regularly with the robot suit were the one at the end of the burning city and the final boss because they both have multiple power ups right before you fight them. Luckily for me, those were the two that I had the most trouble with.

Yeah, for some boneheaded reason, I thought I had until 9 to post.  It's only 8 for us west coast folk.  The kicker is I had that score ready hours before the deadline, I just didn'tm ake the time to post it.  Oh well

I actually miss when the contests used to end at 10:00 PM EST since that's about the time I go to bed anyway. I spent a week in Seattle several years ago and I never got used to the time change. I woke up every morning about 3:00 AM and was ready to go to bed around 7:00 PM.

I usually don't play much on Sundays, so I'd be fine with them ending in the afternoon when the new contests are posted, but I'm probably in the minority there.
