He beat it with a friend, but an NA member still beat the game.  That's why you would count that but not this

Nope.
I never even LOOKED at this game until about 10 days ago.
It took me about a week and several restarts to even figure out how to play (I still don't know everything about the game either).
But I played all Friday night and all Saturday, and kept getting beat down.
It's a tough game but the hardest part is just figuring out what to do, which I guess only comes with experience, something I wasn't going to pick up in just a few days.

Now, for 2013, let's add some rules:

1. Cannot play the game on an emulator; must be on real hardware.
2. No repros or flash carts; only real games!
3. Victor must post picture of winning screen for proof (Ninja Gaiden, I'm looking at you)
4. Actual, physical, valuable prizes for the three gamers who complete the most games.
