As the allmighty wikipedia mentions under the "development" section of the article "The January 1993 issue of the Mexican magazine Club Nintendo featured Wily & Right no RockBoard as part of a preview article for the 1993 Consumer Electronics Show. Titling the game as "Mega Board", the article even had a screenshot featuring English text." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wily_%26_Right_no_RockBoard:_Th... ), here is the picture:

I don't know if a prototype with the localized game has surfaced and I know a translated ROM of the game is already avaialble, but still I wanted to share these scans with the NA community.

I have never seen any evidence of this game being planned for an English release until just now. Absolutely kick ass find, hopefully people dig up more. Thanks!

On a side note I believe a fan translation exists.

Awesome find, I never knew they planned to release this in North America because of NoA's anti-everything stance at the time, especially gambling and religion. I've got a copy of the fan translated Rockboard that played on a North American NES, good fun for when you're bored.
