Forte just wait and don't watch any of the games then. Even if they didn't exist on TV that'd just be more time you don't get to see ANY football. It's still entertaining to me, guys playing for spots on the team who are also very talented make a good game too.

They slipped by the 9ers last time , if the NFC final is a rematch the 49ers have to take it

Not even real games?  That would be the Pro Bowl as of late.

Preseason games are very important games for teams, it gives the backups a chance to shine and allows teams to build chemistry with the rookies.

Yes, not quite as exciting, but not really for the fans/ratings IMO.

What he did was bad, but an article i read said hes finished in the NFL? that sounds a little crazy. It said he is a locker room distraction. He wasnt one ever in his career. He talked alot of smack on camera but never had problems with teammates. He was perfectly humble and quiet on the patriots, and hasnt been a distraction on the dolphins till this incident. I dont ever remember him ever being in trouble with the law and having problems with his team. kinda strange they are making him look like a huge liability. Sucks cause i really like watching him play. He should be punished for what he did regardless if it was justified or not, but cut immediately and black listed in the nfl apparently now? just seems odd

If you end up in jail while in the NFL, you should be black listed. But whatever. I wonder what team will take him...Browns? I dunno.

The thing is, you have a product to sell(Miami dolphins) and it turns out you have a side effect ( anything that a player does which represents your team in a negative). So you get rid of the side effect so that it doesn't mess your product. Simple as that

The thing is in sports these guys are getting paid a lot of money and if they can't act with some common sense then what? You let them run around and not regulate?
If I could get a job where i get paid millions to do something I like ( play a game and train) and dont do anything you should do to get a arrested...

Well keep in mind that this isn't the first thing 85 has done to upset the Dolphins in his short stint there. Very recently he also cursed at media and Philbin had to have a talk with him. It was clear at that time he was on a short leash. Then with this arrest, I think the right decision was made.

Pro Athletes are held to the highest standards, they are role models and punkr13 is right, every image needs to be positive.

As for 85, I think he is done barring a team getting hit with a lot of wideout injuries. He was on an ELITE passing team in the Patriots and only had 15 receptions the whole year...

He didnt curse at the media. Im assuming u watched hard knocks. He was just using foul casual cursing and phil in asked him to curb the language some . He was talking to him like his father and chad respected him and stopped

just read it was over a box of condoms she found in the car when they both wrte in the car. Chad said she injured herself when she headbutted him. This whole thing is dimb and i think the dolphins overreacted. Im sorry but in instances like this i dont believe many women's allegations. They are emotional and embarrased about what was going to come out in the media so they exxagerate and lie about it. Like dez bryants mom same thing. Dez bryant grabbed her wrists because she was going at him. He was stopping the situation. Charges were dropped. This one is he said she said. And will go nowhere

Well, here is an ESPN article with more detail from before 85 was released. It's clear he was cursing at the media and it also states he was on a short leash with the Dolphins due to it.

That doesnt tell u the story at sll. Its wrong. He was answering questions and just using profanity like any other person who is just talking to someone replacing normal language with profanity. He didnt curse at anyone. If u watched hard knocks ud understand. Philbin pulled him aside next practice and said like , " hey chad i know its not a big deal to u, but for the teams image can u cut out profanity in media.. He also told him when u drop the f bomb like that it kinda loses its meaning. No one cursed at the media. He cursed in front of the media. Entirely differnt thing.Go watch hard knocks

Yeah Ocho is done. How can you say he wasn't a distraction, have you forgotten all of the celebrations? He's the reason that celebrating is now a 15 yard penalty.

Don't get me wrong, I own a Bengals 85 Johnson jersey. He was a beast in his younger days along Houshmendazeh (sp?). He was fun to watch. But now his days are long behind him and he can't catch a ball to save his life. He didn't get targeted in NE because he dropped balls, and he dropped the only pass thrown his away as a Dolphin.

So drama queen, trouble with the law, and a dropped ball in his only preseason throw? And the profanity? Easy cut and no one will pick him up unless some stud WRs get hurt.

U think celebrations distracted his team? Haha i would think that his teammates would love it. Ive read plenty articles about his time with the patriots. The bengals didnt play a read and react offense. They told u a route and he ran it. Patriots offense has many read and react passing routes based on chemistry with brady and wideout.

He dropped a pass in a preseason game . Big whoop. He was by far the best receiver on dolphins this camp and if u watched hardknocks or followed his camp ud know that.

Guest, if he's so good and the stuff he doesn't isn't that big of a deal, why does NOBODY want that "bargain" of a WR? See the light, just like the other thread. The guy isn't worth anything because of his distractions. How do YOU know what his team feels? I'd be pissed having to put up with his dumb antics. Celebrating is the worst, it's for bums. I mean, not that I don't enjoy some of them, but they just make most players show their inner asshole.

Its because he is older. He really didnt have a hard time at all finding the dolphins. He will now because now a team looks bad for signing him

Bess has better hands and runs better routes, Hartline has stud hands too.  The only thing the Dolphins are lacking is a tall receiver, and Johnson isn't even tall.  He's not as athletic as he was and his hands are garbage now.  He was totally expendable, hence why  he's gone.

He's up with the likes of TO and Braylon Edwards.  Past their prime, capable of flashy plays, but also plagued by way too many drops.  Yet still too arrogant to humble himself and get his act together.

Hmm, so the ESPN article is wrong?  Sounds like you know more than ESPN...

Yes, he was cursing in his response to media questions.  What makes this right in any fashion for a professional athlete?  Here is a video of the whole thing, of which he says the following:
1.  Fuck - multiple times
2.  Shit - even more times than Fuck
3.  Smoking Weed
4.  Becoming a Porn Star

AGAIN, this is a Role Model for your children and a representative of the NFL.  Smart move Miami.

I can't wait to see the Cowboys play tonight, but I can't help the fact that I am worried. Down 3 centers, our starting WR's, and an already banged-up O-line. I'm willing to bet Romo plays one series and that's it. I would not be surprised if they didn't play him at all and started Orton instead. Maybe even McGee. They can't afford to have a QB go down in preseason because of a crappy line. I read that a Tackle is playing center, and they said he can't snap the ball to save his life.

And not being able to snap is a great way to get a QB decked. Romo isn't exactly the hardiest of QB's in the league, as we all know.
