Interesting.  Another user on FB posted with the same issue that I have, and he's also having it on his Nes Pokemon' cart.

What I find most interesting about this is that my copy works perfectly on my NES and SRT... but of course, with crap video output.
It is possible repros could use ROMs with subtle differences. Also you many you guys applied the v1.10 update to the firmware? I think Brian addressed a couple sprite corruption issues in games like Micro Machines and Bigfoot.

Anyone else have trouble with Bubble Bobble? It seems like that one should work fine.

I played Super Mario Bros. first. As it was my first NES experience, as well. I've done quick plays of quite a few carts already and am going to be doing some more serious gaming this weekend!

I believe that the ROM has a final version that is the basis of pretty much every repro at this point.  I can't quite blame the cartridge though, since it does work perfectly on the original top loader, and the NOAC based SRT.

My Bubble Bobble doesn't work either. It's clean as a whistle (never understood that saying...) and boots up right away on my top loader.   It won't work on any other clone though, SRT, Retron 5, nor the AVS.  The game should work though, it runs perfect when I run it off my Everdrive.

My AVS hasn't arrived yet. My games are clean. I was referencing another post where someone reported the game not working, hence why I asked if anyone else had trouble with the game. My assumption is that the game works fine on the AVS.

Same here. My AVS hasn't shipped either due to bundled games.

You would be amazed though the amount of issues with non-working games can be fixed by cleaning them. Some people assume because the system is brand new tech it will take dirty games. I have seen other's videos of Bubble Bobble playing on AVS just fine so either the firmware has fixed it already, or someone had dirty game cart.

Nope.  Played with my Everdrive no issue.

What about actual cart? Everdrive and real hardware are not always the same compatability wise. For instance Castlevania III works on Everdrive played back on clone hardware, not the case for original cart.

That said, Bubble Bobble is a common mapper board so if it had issues then the likelyhood is a lot of games using same mapper would run poorly.

Takes a little bit of fidgeting, doesn't it?

It does. I didn't realize you had to push so hard to get the cart in at first.

Then I'll save the princess, taking the long way through all 32 stages. And upload a score to scoreboard if it's available. Next I'll reset, plug in the Zapper, choose Duck Hunt, and watch as the ducks fly away with every pull of the zapper trigger.

After that, I'll prolly just grab a beer and chill to some sweet tunes from "A winner is You."
Nah, screw the 2-in-1, gonna use the Mario Surer Bros edition instead!  Mario Surer Bros by stardust4everhttp://nintendoage.com/forum/mess...

Ninja Gaiden, no doubt.
Score is wiped from memory immediately when you lose final life. Even with Scoreboard, the developers found a way to make life unfair. They must have secretly planned for this feature, even back in the 80s when they first developed it!
Ninja Gaiden is a game I play for time, not score, so it would be moot anyway. 1 life as fast as possible, or bust..

I did another uncut, test video, and sadly, the results are the same. Works perfect on OG hardware, and the SRT, but a no go on the AVS... and it deletes my saves for some reason as well.

Sure did.  Also sent the original video to their FB page. Response was that they'll need to get a copy of the cart since it won't run off a flashcart.  Hopefully, there is a fix eventually.

The beauty is that it's likely a firmware fix.

I'm certainly hoping that it is.

In case anyone is wondering, that was with the 1.10 firmware. I tested with the new 1.20b3 makes the game completely unplayable. Garbled graphics right from the start.

You need a tripod dude. Otherwise nice demonstration. Does the AVS really delete/corrupt the save?

No reason to post video.  The console just came out. Of course it's going to have issues.

Retrousb will fix compatibility issue with FW updates.
