Someone abandoned a 20 inch Sharp at my work recently. I brought it home and tried it out, and picture is good. I fired up Duck Hunt on it and worked great, I also finally got to confirm that the light gun I bought in January is a winner. It also has AV ports on front and back and you are able to change inputs from the buttons on the front of the TV which is awesome when you don't have the remote. I'd the best CRT you can find is one that costs you nothing and works, and you can change the input without the remote.

Technically PVM/BVM

But as far as a standard CRT, Sony Trinitrons have a great reputation.

I love my 20" Toshiba Flat CRT - http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-20A...

"Whatever tv system I have!"

But seriously, I have no idea. I think it's tied more to whatever type of tv you had growing up. I have a later-model "flat screen" CRT that looks terrific, but games look more "right" to me on an older style CRT with the curved screen.

I got no issue with my Panasonic Tau HDCRT, 32". If you don't mind not being able to use light guns that is.

THIS, forever and ever!  Commodore 64 1702 monitor.  Gorgeous picture, light weight, easy to carry handles on the side, build like a tank...the Only downside is some think it's too small, I think it's perfect.  Garb one if you ever see one locally, you will not regret it!

I have this same tv and its awesome.  I also have a 1702 commodore screen and its a great screen.  This was the screen I used in the 80s and 90s.

Also have a benq flat screen for rgb.
