I got some high bonuses on the first two bosses which helped my score.
I have a hard time not getting hit when fighting the third boss. It's this game's version of the plane boss from 1943 in terms of blocking progression. But it is really cool looking.
BTW, I almost never use the spread weapon. I much prefer the other.

This game isn't bad,but to me it plays kind of slow and clunky in the stages where you are walking. It also suffers from slowdown pretty badly when there is a lot going on.

I'm appreciating this game a lot more now than I did when it just frustrated me and I couldn't make progress. Considering this is the NES and how much is going on some slowdown is inevitable. NES shmups usually have awful slowdown.
