PLEASE READ THE ENTIRETY OF THIS THREAD BEFORE YOU BID!!!!
Peoples' bids who did not have a NintendoAge account prior to today will be automatically disqualified. This is to prevent anyone from creating a second account if they get outbid. Sorry for any inconvenience!
Hello and welcome to the auction for the limited edition copies of Larry and the Long Look for a Luscious Lover that will be available. This game has been in production for something like five years. If I told you that I put thousands of hours into this project, it wouldn't be an exaggeration. Hell, this project has lasted longer than multiple girlfriends. But alas, much like the preacher in the wedding chapel in this game, I digress.
This auction will be run the same way as the Nintendo World Championships NintendoAge Edition and the Homebrew World Championship cartridges, and for those kind souls who tried to get one, the Study Hall Limited Edition auction. For those of you that weren't around when these auctions took place, It works like this:
- The auction will run for an undisclosed amount of time.
- You only get to make ONE bid. This will be your ONLY BID.
- When I close the auction, the top 11 bids will each receive one limited edition copy.
So as you can see, you need to place a bid that you think is high enough to win. And you can't wait until the last second to see what everyone else has bid, because I could end the auction at any moment before you even place a bid.
To give you an idea of what you need to bid, keep in mind the Study Hall Limited Edition auction LOW END price was ~$250. I'm not say you need to bid $250 to win one of these, but just trying to give some context. Some people bid ~$100 during that one and then were upset that they couldn't bid again when the prices started skyrocketing. So I will say this here and now.
MAKE YOUR BID COUNT! I tried my best to make this package of the highest quality possible. I tried my best to make the game itself of the highest quality possible! Pay what you think it's worth!
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is the highest quality homebrew package ever released for this system! But I'll let you all be the judge of that.
When the auction has ended, you will be required to send your payment to me via paypal or personal check within a week of the auction end. At the same time, I have a week from the point you send me payment to get off my butt and mail you your copy.
The cost of shipping is NOT included in your bid. You must add $10 to your bid when you are sending payment, to pay for shipping. I want this package to arrive to you THE SAME WAY IT LEAVES MY HOUSE. I've put too much time, effort, energy, and money into this to ship this half-assed and it wind up arriving to you damaged. Please understand this.
If you live in Canada, please add an additional $10 to your bid on top of the $10 shipping charge. It costs more to ship it to you.
If you live overseas, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I have no problem shipping to you, but understand that this auction includes liquid. That could be a problem, but I sure as hell don't mind trying!
This game is
unique in the fact that there is
on-board memory storage. No, there is no battery backup that will fail on you. This is flash memory. All of your progress will save to the flash memory and
never go away! No need to start over every time you play the game, only to have to leave in the middle of playing because your nagging girlfriend wants you to go to dinner with her.
Anyway, that's all the info I can think of! Your bids are going to a good cause: helping an unemployed man pay his bills and also to get his car running. Thank you so much for your interest!
Included contents are as follows:
* High quality box with cloth covered styrofoam inside, to allow cartridge to sit properly and luxuriously.
* High quality, thick cardstock, individually numbered outer sleeve with high quality artwork with autograph on reverse side.
* Red limited edition numbered cartridge with different label artwork than regular edition.
* Professionally printed manual.
* Homemade beer with high quality labels, made for us by one of my awesome beta testers, neodolphino. Tusky's Lucky Lager (named after the bar in the game, Tusky's!)
* Two poker chips that may or may not get that Lady Gaga song in your head.
* One surprise item that I will include.
If you bid over $400 you can pick your number (assuming it is available).
Highest bid gets
lowest number available.
Keep in mind that this auction is NOT for #1-11. It will be a mixture of any numbers between 1 and 23. My development team got to pick the numbers they wanted first, and I'm still waiting to hear back from some of them. I can't tell you exactly what numbers are available yet.
IF YOU EDIT YOUR BID YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!
