Good thing I didn't vote, I'm dropping it down to a 2.

The epitome of shitty 70s disco pop.
They were not disco...
They definitely did a lot of disco.  Hell, the first song I linked has a classic driving disco beat.
Their whole Voulez-Vous album is nothing but disco.
Yes I do in fact stand corrected (for those wondering, Voulez-Vous is French for "Do you want me?")

And let's not forget what put them on the map in the first place...when they took first place in the 1974 Eurovision contest (Europe's version of Star Search/American Idol at the time):

PS: Would you believe they actually got a mention for that in the 1974 Brittanica yearbook's Music article???  Though they goofed and called them "Abba".

Gave them a 6. I know quite a few of their songs and even sing along to them. I probably own a record or cassette of their music actually...lol.
I consider this true in general, but for ABBA in particular you can't really do them justice with just the audio alone.  With my music I always have to have the video part too
Unless it's a song I really care about, I find the music videos distract from the actual song. I like listening audio only so I can really hear the music...listen to the lyrics, see what the meaning of the song is. Some songs are simple with obvious meanings...others are complex with hidden meanings, but people tend to see what they want to see/hear what they want to hear...so I make a guess as to what the meaning is, then see what the original artist has to say about the meaning.

But I'm weird about music. I can listen to the same song endlessly.
Well, I really do feel like I'm there when I watch their live performance stuff...you can really feel the energy and fun they put into it...not like today where far too many "artists" today resort to lip synching fake auto-tune music

As for the same song endlessly...seriously their Pick a Bale of Cotton and Midnight Special (the middle On Top of Ol' Smokey is alright but doesn't fit the other two) is honest to goodness like crack cocaine to me.  It's too bad they just missed the late 60s/early 70s variety show era because one called ABBA's Midnight Special with it as the theme song would've been perfect.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Only reason I even know whom ABBA is was after some goofy dialog on the Sega CD version of Lunar Silver Star about Ghaleon ...and also its a code for Ikari Warriors. :/

I can't believe the AVGN episode made such a big deal about the ABBA code, yet not one peep about the ABBA group...I wouldn't be surprised if the code was put in because one or more of the game's creators was an ABBA fan!  You know, like how the US version of MegaMan X5 ended up with the Guns N Roses Maverick bosses?

Say did you guys know that Frida tried a solo career in the mid-80s? This is her most famous song and the channel has a few others:

Geez you think this neon pink/green combo could be any more 80s? hee hee

And here's another song that's not exactly among their most well known but the song and videos are quite beautifully done:
