Edit - added a better picture.

Also, these are not magazine cutouts. Just in case anyone was curious.

This may be the first of some of these games being discussed. I honestly cannot find any information on urban convoy, nor web world, besides a mention here or there on an unreleased list.

This is just some of the prototype items I have, others - I'd rather keep private. Paperwork though, is different.

Thanks!

awesome. Wouldn't you think that if there was advertising with gameplay shots on it that it was close to being finished? There has to be some protos floating around SOMEWHERE for these. Cool stuff bro. Love it when people come up with stuff like this.

Pretty cool although I'm curious about keeping the other stuff private. Is it because you don't want your inbox flooded with offers? Afraid someone nearby is going to break into your house and steal it? Other? Again, just curious.

These are really cool. I can understand the screenshots for the Famicom titles, but the others look really interesting. Any chance of close up scans? If not the whole thing maybe just the screenshots? Even if you watermark them, it would just be neat to see.

If others are interested in seeing more details of the paper, I could probably get better pics of each this coming weekend I remember Web World just sounded like a terrible game when reading it.

Ninja Taro is a pretty early advertisement - notice above the seal, the lettering in blue? I believe thats just an ink stamp, and the text to the right in the white box is a sticker. Pretty crazy.

Always like seeing new stuff, but man that Final Fantasy II logo looks goofy.

Cool, CES flyers. I love these, I pick them up whenever I can (which is like, almost never).

There's a high res scan of Final Fantasy floating around, courtesy rbudrick. That's where the labels came from.

Great to see the full Ninja Taro flyer, that's where this thumbnail from the book Video Game Quest came from (scanned by me...though there's obviously not much to scan):

ninjatarobox

Here are scans of Monster Truck Rodeo and Web World's flyers. The owner is a guy named John Anderson, who has been promising me higher-res scans of the screenshots for about a year now:

CES NES brochures 024

CES NES brochures 025

That Chesterfield art was used in a magazine ad...I think in Fun Club News? It was way smaller than this one, though. It's PROBABLY the box art for the C64 version too, but I've not managed to locate it.

Do you think you could take some close-up photos (or even scans) of Urban Convoy's screenshots? We don't have any screenshots of that one online, other than some very very fake mockups from a book called Ultimate Unauthorized Nintendo Game Strategies.

^ haha, Thanks!! I've got about 100 of them or so, these are just the unreleased ones.

Chesterfield actually has a back, with screenshots if I recall. Wasn't this released on the famicom though? So the screenshots may be pointless

Its a shame urban convoy has the damage to the bottom right, but it is what it is, and I may be holding the only known advertisement for it.

Like I said, I'll see what I can do this weekend. The final fantasy is really cool, basically talks about company profits and why you should invest in selling their games.

Chesterfield was indeed released on the Famicom, as was Ninja-Taro (Ninja-Kun: Ashura no Shou).

the Ninja Jajamaru-kun series is bad ass - Ninja-Kun: Ashura no Shou is a great game that us westerners don't know. It would have done well here had Sammy released it.

interested in selling any of these?

That Chester Field add is seriously awesome! I was never aware it was planned for a North American release. Any chance you could take a scan of that one? Id really appreciate it! Thanks.

I seem to remember Chesterfield. Anyone remember seeing it in EGM or Nintendo Power previewed at some point?

Yes Chesterfield was advertised in Nintendo Power and it saw a release on the Famicom.

There's a full-page ad in either EGM #0 or EGM #1.
