Hey everyone! This week's contest is going to be 1942. Here are the rules:

1 life only
1 player only
Participation: 10,000

The contest ends Sunday, 9/25/11 at 10 PM NA time. Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. Once you've lost a life, just pause the game and take a picture of your score as long as you pass 10,000 points. Remember to have your username somewhere in the picture.

Oh my god, not THIS game. This has probably the most irritating sound/music track in NES history. It's so boring too!

here's my participation score... I fully expect the top 5 scorers to do 1 million +

I mean this is my first time playing this game (I've played 1943 though) and I get 200k? so there are going to be some crazy high scores.

is this game badly programmed? because even when there's less than 3 bullets on screen every button press for me doesn't equal a shot it misses sometimes , actually it makes the shot sound, but it doesn't fire a shot and no plane goes down in front of me. . and I'm using one of my 5 good controllers that on every other game work fine.

I agree!

But I love the 1 life rule in this game. Some games I break 100K and sometimes I could not qualify. It really means you are going to have to power through the random bullet that could end a great game and try it again.

Anybody else find the constant beeping really annoying?

Usually when there's only 6 numbers in the score count it maxes out. I could be wrong though.
