This thread is all about actively trying to get some Scans of NES controller overlay stickers. They came in issues of Nintendo power, among other sources.
If you have any of the sticker sheets for any of these controllers, please scan them and post them here!. Or, PM me and I will buy them from you!

That would be pretty awesome! I've actually got a scan of another sheet of stickers that were released in an issue in 1993. But, I'm not a huge fan of these stickers...

I'd really like the Pink and Blue ones. I'd actually prefer to buy the actual stickers, because I don't know how to make stickers of a quality that wouldn't get wrecked after a couple weeks of being in my sweaty NES hands.

iirc, these came as a bonus to subscribers and were not included in any issues. I'm not 100% positive on that though.

They were a subscriber bonus? This is news to me... although I did have a NP subscription, so it would make sense.

Regardless, someone has to have these stickers... Chummon, people!

I have all the old NP issues. I looked through a bunch of them and didn't see what you're looking for, so subscriber bonus seems likely. Any idea what year they're from?

Thanks for looking, scaryice. Honestly, I have no idea what year they were made. I don't have any solid evidence that they were made before '93 like the other set of stickers, but I believe they were.

I'm guessing that if it was a subscriber bonus, they would have mentioned it on the subscription renewal card in one of the issues. That's only a guess though, I don't have my old NP issues in my house at the moment, so I can't check.

bhfontenot, where did you hear they were a subscription bonus? Or do you just remember it from when you were a kid?

I finally dug up a picture showing the pink one I've been looking for!

So there they are. I'm looking for the pink one and the blue guy at the top- but now that I look at it, the one on the bottom left is sweet too. Could someone find a scan of that sticker sheet too, if it turns up?

Also, I've got a couple leads- Could some people please check these NP issues to see if the stickers happen to be in with them?

I've gotten around 7 or 8 PMs from users asking me to let them know when a scan of the stickers turn up... These suckers are in pretty high demand.

Since we now know the stickers would be in January issues, I am hoping someone will take the time today to flip through theirs and finally get us this elusive scan. I can say with some degree of certainty that no other scans exist on the internet, so a scan from a helpful NA user is pretty much our only hope.

EDIT to add: Could a mod please move this to the Collector's Corner or Everything Else or something like that?  It's no longer really a WTB thread, more just a thread looking for a scan.

If you have access, could you possibly download all the January issues and look through them? Any sticker scans you find will be appreciated! (I already have one scan, it's close to the top of the page in this thread. I think the one I have scanned is the one in the Mickey Mouse issue, but you never know!)

I have ~6 controllers with different stickers, but I think they are buried somewhere... Would be great to find out the issues

I just checked every jan issue and there is no scans of the controller skin you are looking for, I seen the one you had there near the top , and that was about it , could it be in a diff month or something

I actually read through that thread yesterday, and PM'd BuyAtari about the 2 sheets of them he mentioned he had. I actually just got a reply back this morning from him saying they were somewhere in the pile of stuff at his house, so I'm hoping that whenever he comes across them, he does a scan for us.

well I dont know if it will ammout to verry much , and now that I sent it I wondered how many other people actually sent one as well , but I send a email to AVGN in hopes that he might be able to shed soem info on the year it was produced , the jan issue of 1993 has the sticker in it that is already in this post the new years batch
AllYourBase you dont need an account to download some of the NP from years back but you will need a program to read the .CBR files , and google helped me out there ,
