Either Amanda was telling the truth and we scared the poor girl off (I doubt she'll ever return), or we were getting trolled hard by some dude behind a keyboard with a vivid imagination. Honestly I'm still not entirely sure whether it was the former or the latter. If she never logs in to NA again, we may never know for sure. Based on testimony I've heard from past friends and relations, I'd say Amanda's story is at least plausable. I've been close to a number of women in my lifetime and I've heard enought horror stories about past relations and douchebag men/boyfriends/husbands that I could write a novel on the topic. But I won't, because those awful memories are best buried and forgotten. There's no limit to the hurt some people will inflict.
From the way it was presented I'd go with trolled. I know there are bad situations, but I'd go with trolled. A lot of gals would not feel comfy opening up like that unless they really really trusted you or that they were looking for attention. Especially to a mainly male audience based around the thing that got her raped to begin with. I go with someone messing around, be it crazy man or crazy woman.
