Why would someone silence Bronty? I think someone is trying to make me look even worse than I already do and it's solely to get me lynched and clinch the game without even getting to the next game day.

That's my thinking as well. Someone wanted to silence him, so he'd not be able to argue with you when the day starts. We need first to determine if this was an ability that someone used on him.

Have you role blocked someone SUCCESSFULLY previously? If so, did it have an adverse effect? It COULD be that you roleblocking him "stunned" him into silence. It'd be weird for your role to have an effect that you don't know about though.

I have no idea if it's been successful, I only get a very basic message saying that the person is paralyzed via stun spore.

Ok, now some of these effects have over the course of the game been pretty specific in their wording.

Unvote doner, and then...

- Does it say you were "targeted"? Vote behemos (nothing personal - I just doubt anyone else will suddenly vote for you, so you should be safe)
- Does it seem like an effect that a Bellsprout would use, based on the message? Vote doner (I don't believe unvoting and then voting the same person is against the rules)
- Neither of the above? Vote me.

In the meantime, question for those who have played before:

Can a negative effect ability, like the one we're seeing here, be used on yourself, or, if it's a wolf ability, on other wolves? It seems to me that by silencing Bronty, the wolves may have actually done themselves a disservice if not, as if such an ability could ONLY be used on town, and not on wolves, then that would basically clear Bronty as town.

I know we've seen in this game rdools use "Watch" on himself, but that has no negative effects, hence my asking.

You could use them on yourself or fellow wolves in previous games.

We could also use some input from NED here. Normally a vocal and tactical player, he's been awfully quiet.

Just logged in behemos. Its probably best to take a shot a quiet person. Jm, limbo, vec. Bronty and doner are probably not the best options currently. Possibly later. Vec has been incredibly quiet, not much help. Limbo hasnt done anything, get in here limbo. Jm seems off

Without giving him a chance to speak, Gloves, doner24, jmbarnes101, NESfanatic, and Vectrex280996 attacked Fluffbofunk.  The Pokemon Trainer was standing by to capture him.

 

doner24: "I don't understand.  How could he not be a wolf?  Are there even any wolves left?"

At this point, his fellow attackers turned on him.  Unable to defend himself against all four, he was easy captured.

 

They then went after the Pidgeotto behemos and Cubone Bronty.

   



With all the Wild Pokemon captured, the Pokemon Trainer recalled his Pokemon.

"Good job, Vectrex280996!"

 

"Nice use of your skills, jmbarnes101!"

 

"I wish you wouldn't waste my Rare Candies like that, NESfanatic!"

 

"You're so cool, Gloves!"

 

YEAH!  I caught them all!  Hmm, now what should I do?

The Pokemon Trainer looked around and spotted another patch of tall grass.

"I bet there are lots of Pokemon in there!  I gotta catch 'em all!"


Congratulations to Gloves, jmbarnes101, NESfanatic, Vectrex280996, and wasg13!  I hope everyone had a good time.  Since the game is over, everyone can post in this thread again to discuss the game.  Feel free to post or PM me any comments you may have.

 

I'll just shed some light on a few things that happened during the game.  I'm sure some of you are wondering why I let the game continue into day 8 when there were just as many wolves as townies.  Before being removed from the game, MasterBigCat used his Power Voter cheat on behemos.  This allowed him to make a secret second vote by sending me a PM.  This combined with doner24's blocking skill made it still possible for town to win.

GoldeneyeGamer, the Caterpie post from the Pokémon account had absolutely nothing to do with you sending me a PM.  It was just a coincidence.  While I made the posts with the Pokémon account, jmbarnes101 decided everything that was posted.  Since he sent me a PM to make that post right before you sent me the message, I thought it would only be fair to make the post before replying to your message.

Who was humming at the beginning of each day was also decided by jmbarnes101.  I wanted to create a wolf role that didn't do anything other than create distractions.  I figured a psychic Pokemon would be a good way of doing this.  During the night, he would put a catchy song in someones head, causing them to hum it and call attention to themselves.  During the day, he would make everyone think a player might be a specific Pokemon.  The Pokémon account wasn't really a character in the game, it represented a thought all the players were having at the same time.

The wolves had another ability that was never put into use.  Each night, they could choose a wolf.  If that wolf was voted out during the next day, the Pokemon Trainer would recall him before their specific identity was known (The player would still be out of the game and everyone would know that he was a wolf, but not what Pokemon he was or what abilities he had).

MasterBigCat "freaking out" was the result of his Glitch cheat.  This was a cheat that wasn't working properly, so all it did was make him call attention to himself.

If anyone has any questions on anything that happened in the game, feel free to ask.

Dammit, we followed wolves again. This is a repeat of last game.

Well played wolves, you got some good players at night. Have to admit the end wolf lineup was similar to I imagined by the end of the game, surprised you got everyone to vote for limbo.

But now I know how gloves plays as a wolf. Also I really don't want to be a vt next game as it's kinda boring.

Hmmm, sorry I wasn't active today, I didn't realize that the night was only one day long, so that was one reason I didn't wind up posting. I'm also happy with myself that I had Gloves nailed as a wolf in my head right off the bat. Jumping into the middle of the fray was a lot more disorienting and confusing than I thought it would be. Good job wolves, I figured you were in control of all the votes...I had a really terribly day today, so to find out I was the town's last demise was icing on the cake.   

Red, can you post what all the cheats were for MBC that you redacted earlier? I wanted to be dead and out of the game just so I could find that out, it seemed pretty darn interesting and inventive.

Red, any chance we can get access to the thread where people went after they got removed from the game? I like being able to see people's thoughts as the game is going.

Also, dra600n and I are working on a werewolf game. Hopefully we'll have more info soon.
