The tracking force difference between a good turntable and a bad turntable is astronomical. I used a Crosley for a few years before I really knew what I was doing, but when I finally upgraded to my Uturn Orbit I couldn't BELIEVE the difference in weight of the tonearm.

And I'm glad you haven't had any issues with skipping, but I know when I bought a 180 gram new release and attempted to play it the tonearm was using so much force that the needle would slide around. I assumed the record I bought was defective, but when I upgraded to my better turntable soon afterward it played flawlessly. Proper and balanced tracking force can make all the difference.

What kind of turntables are yall using? In the beginning ning I had an AT-LP60 which wasn't very good haha. Now I've got a Technics SL-1300 with an Ortofon Blue. Got this turntable on craigslist. It had a missing ground wire but I soldered a new one on. I love this thing.
