Hey guys!
I decided to do Karnov

Ends next sunday at 9 PM central time 10 PM NA Time!


Rules:

  • 1 life only
  • Participation: 5,000


YOUR WHOLE SCREEN AND YOUR NAME MUST BE IN THE SHOT FOR YOUR SCORE TO COUNT!!!

Gahh... I was doing so well in Mega Man already

Haven't played Karnov in quite awhile, so I'm looking forward to giving it another shot. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to get as much in before Thursday as possible, as I'll be away Thurs-Monday at Dragon*Con.

Way to burst my bubble. I was looking forward to a score on Mega Man but I guess if there was difficulties then it's for the best we change the game. I actually like Karnov and it was one of my first games when I was a kid. Gotta get that turbo control out lol.

Keep in mind we don't allow the use of a turbo function during the contests.  Although, Karnov certainly is easier with one lol.

So I went on youtube because I wanted to see what this game was all about.  Just so happened to click on your no death run of the game you made with your son.  It was a fun watch.

haha Yeah, I used to one-life it all the time. I've always felt it was a pretty underrated game as a whole. We started a whole meme about Karnov being more awesome than anything when I was hanging out at NES Files, and that kinda spilled into PlayTheNES too. Glad you liked the vid!

I actually haven't used it yet but thanks for telling me I can't. I used my NES Max as a kid on this all the time. I guess I gott gotta grow up.

Well I truly don't understand this game. Starting to get the controls down..but I keep using special weapons when I don't want to...and sometimes when I do...
I suppose this will get me at least one...maybe I can up it later just to prevent further embarrassment...

I had no desire to play this as a kid, but it's actually not a bad game.
