Aaaand onto week 2 of the season...

I got my score up to a whopping 35k.

Yeah... Maybe someday I won't be an utter failure at Dr. Mario but I doubt it will be this week.

Turns out my smashed in phone camera, although working, can't focus to include the whole monitor   . Maybe my DSI will do better...

Edit: Nope, doesn't have a high enough quality :/. I'll try figure something out though, maybe borrow someone's phone for the time being.

I'm jazzed for this, I've been practicing a little bit before the week started and I guessed that we'd play on Medium. Was kind of hoping for Hi speed just cause then the combos rack up faster. Comparing some of my recent scores to my scores in the last 2 contests, I can hardly believe how much better I'll have to get just to compete with my former self.

I'm pretty good at Dr. Mario, but not GameboyRicky good.

I just can't wrap my head around this game. It's a combination of frequent mis-drops and not knowing where to place pieces once the playfield is cluttered with viruses. I guess my brain isn't wired for this one.

I can relate. I've never been much of a puzzle master. Not great at chess or strategy games, etc. But they can still be fun for me (duh). I'd never really played Dr. Mario before today, and I can see revisiting it to unwind, a la Tetris and whatnot. Good stuff. And with that, my mediocre participation score:

Yes, they are. Emulators are acceptable as well as long features like slow down, save states and cheats aren't used.
